Ms. Canady has enjoyed a notable career in nursing and health care management, marked by two decades of progressive experience and leadership. In 2025, she assumed the role of divisional MDS resource at Northern Healthcare of Cascadia Healthcare. In this capacity, Ms. Canady manages regulatory compliance with state and federal guidelines, trains MDS nurses on evolving regulations, conducts audits to ensure accurate services are provided, and prepares for annual fiscal year changes each October. She also oversees the skilled nursing MDS assessment process for billing, generates HIPPS codes for claims submission and provides hybrid support that includes occasional travel. Additionally, Ms. Canady is an expert with PDPM, CMI, Utilization Review, QMs and engages with industry professionals to discuss workforce trends, furthering her impact on the field.

Since 2020, Ms. Canady has also served as an independent consultant under Erin O. Canady, RN, RAC-CT, offering her expertise to various health care organizations. Her role as a consultant follows numerous previous consulting opportunities that have significantly contributed to her success.

Ms. Canady is a former Nurse Consultant for Polaris Group, Life Care NW Division's Clinical Reimbursement Specialist, Divisional Care Coordinator at EmpRes operated by Evergreen, where she served and was responsible for coordinating care delivery and supporting clinical teams across multiple facilities. Between 2023 and 2024, she contributed as an MDS resource for Columbia Healthcare at Cascadia Healthcare. Concurrently, Ms. Canady held various roles at Mission Healthcare at Bellevue from 2020 to 2024. In her spare time, she is a published writer and artist.

As a clinical reimbursement specialist for the Northwest Division at Life Care Centers of America from 2022 to 2023, Ms. Canady was involved with more than 25 facilities throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah. Her previous leadership at Arcadia Medical Resorts from 2021 to 2022 as a vice president of clinical reimbursement and interim director of nursing services had her overseeing clinical operations and guiding teams through regulatory changes.

A significant milestone in Ms. Canady's career occurred during her tenure as nurse consultant at Polaris Group Consulting Services from 2018 to 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she traveled weekly across the U.S. to provide critical support. Notably, Ms. Canady led extensive group training sessions on the implementation of Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) changes on October 1st, a transformative shift in operational procedures for long-term care providers.

Among her earlier roles, Ms. Canady excelled as a registered nurse, case manager and regional nurse consultant for various organizations. She began her career in 2005, working in critical care with Georgetown Hospital System, where she remained for over five years.
