During her nearly four-year tenure with the firm, she handled civil law matters, family law cases and criminal defense work, a field she found particularly rewarding. Her experience at Westlake Legal Group provided a strong foundation in various areas of law and allowed her to refine the skills that would later prove invaluable in managing her own practice.

Ms. McCollum's academic background has played a pivotal role in shaping her legal career. She earned a Juris Doctor from Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America in 2017, equipping her with comprehensive legal knowledge and practical skills essential for effective advocacy. She previously graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Applied Science in political science and economics from Shepherd University in 2014. While at Shepherd University, she was honored with the McMurran Scholar Award—the highest academic distinction in her department—in 2013, selected by faculty for outstanding achievement as a junior student. Her leadership abilities were further demonstrated through her service as president of Phi Sigma Alpha, the political science honors fraternity, and as a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

Throughout her career, Ms. McCollum has contributed to the legal community through annual pro bono casework and served as court-appointed counsel until 2023.
