Hailing from over two decades of experience, Mr. Dessart has built a distinguished career in coaching, organizational effectiveness and leadership development. As the founder and executive director of The Genesis Group in Wisconsin, he has led the organization with a faith-based focus on leadership development and consulting since 2020. He also serves as the chief executive officer, guiding clients through transformative growth from a Christ-First perspective.

Mr. Dessart's commitment to excellence was exemplified when he collaborated with another organization to co-design two leadership development programs that earned both the Brandon Hall Gold Award and the Chief Learning Officer Gold Award in 2024, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey.

Before focusing solely on his efforts with The Genesis Group, Mr. Dessart held the position of senior manager of talent and learning at Charter Manufacturing for four years. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing leadership development strategies and implementing customized learning solutions that supported individual and team development as well as organizational objectives.

Prior to his tenure at Charter Manufacturing, Mr. Dessart served as the senior manager of learning and development at Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI) in Cudahy, Wisconsin. From 2017 to 2020, he designed and executed comprehensive global leadership development programs aimed at enhancing capabilities and preparing leaders for the future roles across the United States, Poland, Germany, France and the UK.

Before pivoting to start his own business, Mr. Dessart spent 20 successful years in a variety of roles with Harley-Davidson Motor Company. From 2015 to 2017, he was an organization and development manager, where he was pivotal in shaping organizational culture and advancing leadership initiatives. As a human resources manager for global leadership learning and development for nearly two years, he managed international leadership development programs and supported global talent pipelines across the United States, Germany, China, Singapore, and Australia.

Mr. Dessart's earlier roles at Harley-Davidson included serving as a human resources learning manager from 2010 to 2013, human resources organization development learning lead from 2007 to 2010, human resources organization development and learning specialist from 2005 to 2007 and human resources career management specialist from 2004 to 2005. Each of these positions saw him expand his expertise in employee engagement, succession planning and instructional design.

From 1995 to 2004, Mr. Dessart accumulated additional related work experience on the assembly line at Harley-Davidson before moving into production roles. Seeking greater fulfillment, he transitioned into engineering as a technician trainee in the engineering lab. It was during this time he discovered his passion for helping others learn and grow, which he continued to pursue at Harley-Davidson before gaining additional leadership experience elsewhere.

Upon realizing his new calling, Mr. Dessart pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in organizational leadership from Marquette University in 2005. To augment his knowledge and qualifications, he obtained the LEAD NOW! certificate from Stewart Leadership and is certified as a Gallup Strengths Coach. Additionally, he became certified as an Insights Discovery practitioner, Myers Briggs Type Indicator practitioner, a change manager by LaMarsh Global, and as a project management associate by Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Beyond his professional roles, civic engagement and community service are central to Mr. Dessart's life. He has volunteered extensively with organizations such as The Salvation Army — including serving food to individuals who are homeless during Christmas breakfast — and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, where he also provided meals for those in need. His dedication extends to youth sports as a football coach for the East Troy Gridiron Club, wrestling volunteer for East Troy Wrestling Club and baseball coach for East Troy Youth Baseball. Additionally, he and his wife Jessica mentor couples through Lakeland Church's marriage ministry and supports veterans by donating food and clothing to the Veterans Community Center in Milwaukee.

Happily married and a proud father of four sons, Mr. Dessart continues to be guided by his values of service, leadership and faith throughout all aspects of his life and career. Along with personal interests that include outdoor activities such as spending time with his family, boating, fishing, kayaking and walking along nature trails, he finds inspiration through reading his Bible and works by C.S. Lewis.

Determined to further his impact in the coming years, Mr. Dessart aims to expand his organizational coaching and development efforts with The Genesis Group by promoting the message of Christ. He seeks to bring more faith-based individuals into the business while enhancing its offerings, thus demonstrating that it is possible to maintain one's faith while also thriving professionally.
