Dawn M Babbitt CPA, FVS embodied professionalism and flexibility as she stepped down from Chief Financial Officer of Redfish Capital and took on the responsibility of building an accounting firm to hire and serve more individuals and businesses. Dawn M Babbitt CPA, FVS became Dawn M Murrill CPA, FVS and continued to grow Redfish Accounting and Tax and Equitable Forensics.

Before her current roles, Mrs. Murrill served as a Chief Financial Officer at Redfish Capital from 2022 to 2023. During this period, she was responsible for overseeing financial operations and providing expert guidance on complex accounting matters. She also held the position of accounting manager at Redfish Capital in 2022, where she managed a team of professionals and contributed to the firm's operational efficiency.

From 2018 to 2021, Mrs. Murrill worked as an intermediate accountant for Klein Independent School District. In this role, she played a crucial part in managing financial records and ensuring the district's fiscal integrity. Her earlier experience includes serving as an accountant at Prime Operating Company in Houston, Texas in 2018, where she handled diverse accounting functions for the organization.

Mrs. Murrill's career also encompasses her tenure as an accountant at RESA Power LLC in Houston from 2016 to 2017. There, she was responsible for maintaining accurate financial statements and supporting business operations through detailed analysis. From 2015 to 2016, she advanced to accountant II at a private nonprofit organization, where she contributed to financial oversight and compliance efforts. In her time at this role, she presented budget information on a federal grant to senators. Mrs. Murrill obtained Department of labor finance training and was awarded lead financial speaker.

Her foundational experience began with Jeff Garcia, a Certified Public Accountant in Houston from 2006 to 2009. As an accountant with the firm, Mrs. Murrill developed essential skills that would serve as the basis for her future achievements.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Murrill has been actively involved in several professional organizations that reflect her commitment to ongoing development and industry engagement. She is a member of the AICPA Forensic Valuation and Litigation Support. Additionally, she serves as a committee member for education and advocacy with the Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants through Redfish Accounting and Tax, a role she has held since 2022. She has held memberships with the International Society of Female Professionals since 2022, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 2019 and the Professional Accounting Society since 2010. Her involvement with Forensic & Valuation Services further underscores her dedication to advancing best practices within her profession.

Mrs. Murrill's academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2011. This educational foundation provided her with comprehensive knowledge that has been integral to her success in various accounting and finance roles.

She holds certification as a certified public accountant through the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. This credential attests to her technical proficiency and adherence to the profession's ethical standards.
