SAN DIEGO, CA, November 04, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jin "Jean" Wang, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since 2016, Dr. Wang has led the development of Cardix™, a 505(b)(2) cardiovascular candidate designed to enhance heart rate and cardiac output for patients with bradycardia and for astronauts experiencing microgravity-induced deconditioning. She oversees end-to-end program execution, including strategy, budgeting, timelines, and the management of CRO/CDMO partnerships for process development, CMC, and clinical supply. Dr. Wang also directs regulatory strategy and submissions, intellectual-property portfolio management, and clinical operations to ensure adherence to GxP standards across vendors and sites.

Under Dr. Wang's leadership, Cardix™ advanced from concept through IND and early U.S. clinical studies. She has guided the build-out of a global IP estate, including nine U.S. patents with international coverage and protection extending to approximately 2038. Her work reflects a dual focus: addressing bradycardia at scale and enabling a medication-based approach for cardiovascular support during crewed missions to the Moon and Mars.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Wang served as vice president of quality and compliance at IriSys LLC (2009–2021) and as a senior scientist at Frontage Laboratories in Philadelphia. She completed a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine's Liver Research Center in New York, preceded by service as a scientist at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)/CDC and a fellowship with the U.S. National Research Council/CDC. Her early career included a lectureship at Sichuan Normal University.

Dr. Wang participates in professional forums focused on cardiovascular clinical trials and space-health initiatives and contributes to programs on intellectual property, 505(b)(2) regulatory strategy, and quality systems. She has authored peer-reviewed papers and conference presentations and has been recognized with honors that include Alice B. Hamilton Award honorable mentions (NIOSH, 1998 and 2000) and fellowships from the National Research Council of Canada and Health Canada.

Dr. Wang earned her PhD in analytical chemistry from McGill University, an MS and BS in chemistry from Sichuan University, and maintains training and certifications spanning Good Clinical Practice, Human Subjects/IRB, and GxP (GMP, GLP, GDP), including compliance with 21 CFR Parts 210/211. Beyond her professional endeavors, she supports STEM outreach and enjoys music, including piano and accordion.
