PAOLI, PA, November 05, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Erin E. Woodbridge (Ziegelmeyer), LPC, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With a longstanding reputation for compassionately helping those in need, Ms. Woodbridge currently serves as the co-owner and licensed professional counselor at The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment, a business she launched alongside her husband, Joe Woodbridge, in 2022. Specializing in clinical operations and trauma counseling, she oversees marketing initiatives, manages vendor relationships and provides counseling services specializing in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and internal family systems (IFS) therapy.
The inspiration behind The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment stemmed from a shared background between Ms. Woodbridge and her husband Joe in counseling acute clients within drug and alcohol residential settings. Their professional paths crossed multiple times through referrals before they recognized their mutual expertise in EMDR therapy — a realization that led them to collaborate on cases before formally combining their practices into a single entity.
The creation of The Willow Space marked a significant milestone in Ms. Woodbridge's career as she blended her expertise in project management, organizing systems and behavioral health with her entrepreneurial spirit. Together, she and her husband strive to help their patients resolve the impacts of trauma and reach a point of continuous, long-term healing.
Prior to establishing her own practice, Ms. Woodbridge held the position of compliance specialist and trainer at Newport Health Care from 2022 to 2025. In this capacity, she leveraged her strong rapport with the vice president of compliance to secure the role, which allowed her to maintain clinical responsibilities through ongoing training and consultation. Her work involved ensuring regulatory adherence, facilitating collaboration across departments and conducting monthly EMDR consultation groups for clinicians.
From 2020 to 2022, Ms. Woodbridge served as a program manager at Center for Families in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Drawing on her extensive experience in behavioral health, she was responsible for overseeing program operations and guiding therapeutic teams. Before this, she worked as a primary therapist at the same organization from 2018 to 2020, creating self-auditing processes for clinicians while providing crisis assessment methods and treatment plans.
During this period, Ms. Woodbridge also contributed as an outpatient therapist at Mainline Counseling and Wellness, where she provided individual therapy sessions and supported clients through various mental health challenges.
Ms. Woodbridge's earlier roles include working as a program coordinator at Center for Families in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, from 2017 to 2018, where she was tasked with opening a new site despite logistical challenges. She successfully transitioned back to the local Malvern site as a primary therapist and program manager, collaborating nationally to train employees in EMDR therapy.
In 2017, Ms. Woodbridge completed a post-master's therapist internship at Center for Families, further honing her clinical skills. For two years prior to that, she worked as a case manager at The Keystone Center, following an initial three months as a counselor. Her responsibilities during this time included supporting clients' recovery processes, coordinating care plans and conducting psychoeducation therapy sessions.
Before entering the counseling field, Ms. Woodbridge held positions outside of behavioral health that contributed to her organizational expertise. She was a leasing manager at the real estate company American Campus Communities from 2012 to 2013 after serving there as a community assistant from 2011 to 2012.
Hailing from an equally robust academic background, Ms. Woodbridge earned a Master of Arts in clinical psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2015, which provided the foundation for her clinical practice and leadership roles within mental health organizations. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2012 and gained valuable international experience in a study abroad program at Griffith University in Australia in 2010. Determined to further her impact outside the classroom, she also served as a research assistant for multiple doctoral students studying at the Department of Psychology at Bowling Green State.
To augment her qualifications, Ms. Woodbridge is certified as both an approved consultant and EMDR therapist by the EMDR International Association™. She is also licensed as a professional counselor (LPC) by both the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors and the New Jersey Professional Counselor Examiners Committee. Reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development within trauma-focused therapy, she has been an active member of the EMDR International Association™ since 2021.
Reflecting on her storied journey thus far, Ms. Woodbridge attributes much of her success to the support of women mentors throughout her career. Notably, her former supervisors Lizzy McCarron and Annie Gendaszek played pivotal roles by encouraging risk-taking and facilitating her transitions between agency work and corporate roles — support that transformed both her confidence and career trajectory.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Woodbridge is civically engaged through involvement with organizations such as the development committee for Root to Branch, a nonprofit that funds the costs of therapeutic care to help individuals in need of EMDR therapy to reduce the impact of negative experiences. She has contributed scholarly work as the co-author of multiple studies, including a study on blackjack gambling urges that was published in the influential Journal of Behavioral Addictions in 2013 and assimilating the use of EMDR therapy into attachment based family therapy (ABFT) in a residential setting that was published in Family Process in 2024. She has also presented at numerous conferences over the past five years, including National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), New England College Health Association (NECHA), Association of Children's Residential and Community Services (ACRC), American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), and Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA).
Happily married and a proud mother of one stepson, Ms. Woodbridge enjoys spending time outdoors hiking with her therapy dog Max, traveling with her husband and engaging in do-it-yourself projects around their home.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Woodbridge aims to balance sustainable growth with quality service delivery at The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment while seeking increased community involvement through leadership roles within nonprofit entities. Leveraging her trauma expertise and operational knowledge for broader impact within Chester County and beyond, she continues to build a legacy defined by continuous learning, adaptability and unwavering dedication to serving those in need.
