FREDERICK, MD, November 05, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Veerendra Nath Jasthi has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Jasthi has built a distinguished career in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and cloud technologies, showcasing expertise that is widely recognized within the industry. In 2025, he began serving as a staff MLOps engineer at HCA Healthcare, where he develops advanced ML and AI infrastructure and offers vital support to data scientists handling patient data models. Mr. Jasthi's work in this role is a source of great pride; he is committed to enhancing human life by enabling doctors, nurses and patients to benefit from innovative technological solutions. Although he does not directly participate in patient care, his behind-the-scenes efforts have a significant impact on health care outcomes.
"Health care does not get safer with more models; it gets safer with trustworthy, explainable systems that ship on time, stay compliant and earn clinician confidence," Mr. Jasthi notes.
Extensively published, Mr. Jasthi's work centers on two key aspects of clinical AI: ongoing mental-health monitoring through patient language and explainable clinical decision support that combines knowledge graphs with ML. As such, his manuscript demonstrates how context-aware natural language processing (NLP) can turn free-text journals, portal messages and survey responses into early-warning signals aligned with validated instruments, allowing earlier outreach and scalable monitoring programs. Additionally, a second study integrates medical ontologies and graph embeddings with predictive models to deliver both accurate recommendations and the reasoning behind them, highlighting transparent knowledge paths linked to guidelines and symptoms. In evaluations, this hybrid approach enhanced diagnostic accuracy and clinician trust compared to models relying solely on ML or rules. These research efforts now shape practical safeguards in his platform, such as model cards connected to clinical ontologies, explainability integrated into APIs, and continuous correlation of algorithmic results with validated scales and outcomes.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Jasthi helped build the data engineering foundation of the InovalonOne Platform, which is used across payer, life sciences and provider offerings. Key outcomes included creating unified data products that sped up insights for quality and risk-adjustment workflows; ensuring operational reliability through instrumentation, autoscaling and cost controls that improved service level agreements (SLAs) for downstream analytics teams; and boosting developer velocity with standardized pipelines, artifact governance and automated promotions, leading to more frequent, safer releases that supported revenue-generating products.
Mr. Jasthi's academic background has played a key role in shaping his career. He received a Master of Science in computer science from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri, graduating in 2016, and a Master of Business Administration from Campbellsville University in Kentucky in 2022.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jasthi has credited his family's unwavering support as a cornerstone of his success. Growing up in a lower-middle-class family with uneducated parents in India, he overcame many challenges to reach academic and professional excellence. Looking ahead, he is developing responsible, explainable and continuously validated AI services, characterized by streaming inference with bedside-grade latency, clinician-in-the-loop feedback to strengthen models, and privacy-first federation methods so multi-institution learning never compromises patient trust.
As Mr. Jasthi explains, "In health care, the win is simple: the right alert to the right clinician, with the right explanation before the patient gets worse."
