Her professional journey began with an extensive tenure at the United States Department of the Air Force, where she served from 1990 to 2015, serving both in the enlisted and officer ranks and retiring as a Major . Throughout her military career, Ms. Miller demonstrated exceptional expertise in military planning, including the strategic movement of commands, earning recognition for her ability to manage complex operations and lead teams under demanding circumstances.

In 2014, Ms. Miller was appointed Director of Operations and Production for the United States Department of the Air Force, where she oversaw critical mission planning and execution. She subsequently advanced to the role of Deputy Chief of the Intelligence Strategy and Plans division from 2014 to 2015. Ms. Miller also had two deployments to Afghanistan in 2011 and 2014. Her outstanding performance culminated in being honored as the Air Force Reserve, Intelligence Officer of the Year at both the Major Command and Air Force levels in 2011, a testament to her strategic acumen and dedication to excellence. Additional accolades during her service include the Air Force Controller of the Year award, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force and Army Achievement Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Following her retirement from military service, Ms. Miller transitioned to the private sector as a process improvement engineer with Louis Berger Group from 2015 to 2016. In this capacity, she applied her analytical skills and experience in organizational efficiency to drive operational enhancements within the company.

Since 2020, Ms. Miller has served as a K-6 elementary tutor with Grade Potential Tutoring while pursuing a PhD in Philosophy. In this role, she leverages her extensive background in behavioral sciences and human development to support young learners in achieving academic success.

Dr. Miller's academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping her multifaceted career. In 2024 she earned the badge for Doctoral Candidate moving into the dissertation phase of a Doctor of Philosophy in advanced studies in human behavior from Capella University, furthering her understanding of psychological principles that inform both her teaching and leadership approaches. In 2025, she began a Master of Jurisprudence at Tulane University, broadening her expertise in legal frameworks relevant to organizational management and advocacy. She also holds a Master of Science in military strategic intelligence from American Military University and a Bachelor of Science in behavioral sciences from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Ms. Miller's commitment to continuous learning is evident from her military and civilian achievements.

Her professional accomplishments are complemented by active involvement in civic organizations and volunteer initiatives. Ms. Miller was a member of the Company Grade Officers' Council and has contributed her time as a volunteer to the Ronald McDonald House and Department of Veterans Affairs, reflecting her dedication to community service and support for fellow veterans.

Resiliency has been central to Ms. Miller's success; she credits her ability to thrive in the face of adversity as a driving force behind her achievements across diverse fields. This quality has enabled her to adapt seamlessly between military leadership, engineering roles and educational mentorship.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Ms. Miller enjoys yoga, hiking, biking and reading. She is also devoted to her family, serving as a mother to her one daughter, born in 1993. Looking ahead, Ms. Miller aims to establish a nonprofit or organization dedicated to supporting individuals, particularly women, who have been incarcerated, or in a difficult life transition facilitating their successful emersion into society.
