Ms. Devealt has established herself as a leading expert in disability inclusion and accessibility in both workplace and academic settings, drawing on nearly a decade of professional experience. In 2024, she assumed the role of keynote speaker and consultant at Palsy Power Chick Innovations. In this capacity, Ms. Devealt speaks on disability inclusion and resilience. As well as develops workshops focused on integrating accessibility and accommodations for individuals with disabilities, advocating for the understanding that accessibility benefits entire communities.
In 2022, Ms. Devealt started in a professional role as program associate at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. Her responsibilities include supporting scholarship processes for post-secondary education, assist with processing applications and administrating awards, as well as analyzing impact of awards.
From 2019 to 2022, Ms. Devealt was an intake specialist at Person Centered Services Care Coordination Organization. There, she provided essential support to individuals navigating care coordination process ensuring that clients received community-based waiver services. Between 2018 and 2019, Ms. Devealt worked as a housing specialist at Western New York Independent Living Center where she assisted individuals with disabilities residing in nursing homes to secure accessible and affordable housing.
Ms. Devealt's earlier experience included serving as a development associate at People Inc. from 2017 to 2018, where she contributed to fundraising efforts and community outreach programs supporting those with developmental disabilities. She began her career in 2016 as a student intern at Parent Network of Western New York, gaining foundational experience in the human services field.
Ms. Devealt's educational background included earning a bachelor's degree in social work from Daemen University in Amherst, New York, in 2017. Her academic training provided a strong foundation for her advocacy work and informed her approach to supporting individuals with disabilities throughout her career. In addition to her degree, Ms. Devealt completed a program through the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership: Emerging Entrepreneurs at the University at Buffalo in 2025, further enhancing her leadership skills and entrepreneurial acumen.
Beyond her work obligations, Ms. Devealt's civic involvement has been extensive. She is engaged with Make Lemon Aide for Cerebral Palsy (CP) an organization dedicated to raising awareness for CP and providing grants for physical therapy. She has also begun contributing to strategic planning efforts at Accessible Academics, working to ensure long term goals for expanding current programs.
Ms. Devealt's dedication has been recognized through several honors, including the Personal Achievement Award at Developmentally Disabled Awareness Day in Buffalo in 2025. Additionally, she received a signed certificate from Senator Robert Ortt acknowledging her advocacy efforts. She was also nominated for the All In Tech Award from InfoTech Western New York that same year. Among Ms. Devealt's most notable achievements was her feature in Women's Day magazine in 2022. The article highlighted her inspiring journey of training to walk down the aisle unassisted for her wedding, a testament to her determination and resilience in overcoming challenges living with cerebral palsy.
Attributing much of her success to the encouragement of her high school special education teacher, who recognized her struggles with social interaction and isolation, Ms. Devealt was urged to share her story publicly about seeking peer relationships and inclusion. Her teacher's influence helped spark the confidence that would later drive her professional journey and inspire the creation of her business.
Looking ahead, Ms. Devealt intends to pursue opportunities to speak at national conferences and to raise awareness for disability inclusion and representation on a global scale. She remains committed to sharing her journey widely, so others may find hope and possibility through increased visibility of individuals with disabilities achieving success worldwide.
