MANCHESTER, CT, November 10, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Abbas Mohammadi, DDS, president and chief executive officer of Columbia Dental, P.C., was selected by Marquis Who's Who for a prominent feature in the July 2025 regional Connecticut issue of TIME magazine.

Since the early 1990s, Dr. Mohammadi has proven himself as a hardworking dentist with a forward-thinking, patient-focused approach to his career. Born and raised in Iran, he decided to pursue dentistry from a young age. When he was just nine years old, Dr. Mohammadi suffered a major dental emergency and witnessed his mother's distress when she could not locate an office that was open on the weekend to help him. From that point, he knew he wanted to become a dentist and offer greater access and options for patients.

That ideology has shaped every aspect of Dr. Mohammadi's professional life. After fleeing Iran for Greece and then immigrating to the United States, he built his experience working at numerous dental practices throughout the state of Connecticut. In 2000, Dr. Mohammadi founded his own company, Columbia Dental, P.C., where he has since served as president, chief executive officer and clinical director. Through this operation, he provides access to a wide range of specialists in one location, including oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, orthodontics and more. Dr. Mohammadi prides himself on giving patients comprehensive care, even when they come in for emergencies, on weekends or at irregular hours. Since opening, Columbia Dental has grown to 13 locations across Connecticut and employs more than 30 providers.

Dr. Mohammadi credits his focused, realistic goals and his work ethic for his success. Even as an established business owner, he still works seven days per week. Dr. Mohammadi firmly believes in the potential of the American dream and hopes to inspire others to achieve their greatest ambitions. In an effort to continue growing and evolving, he constantly seeks ways to expand and improve his services. As a devoted communitarian, he enjoys giving back amidst a historical lack of dental care, particularly during the fall and winter holidays when he offers free cleanings.

EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTS
Dr. Mohammadi first sought education while living in Greece, where he obtained a doctorate in medical dentistry from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After immigrating to the United States, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in oral microbiology, molecular biology and periodontology at Columbia University. Subsequently, Dr. Mohammadi earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University, ensuring he was properly credentialed for dental work in the United States.
