Ms. Vogt has established herself as a leading expert in sustainable tourism, climate change, and the blue economy, with a career marked by significant achievements and a commitment to environmental advocacy grounded in Indigenous knowledge. Over the past five years, she has served as the co-founder and lead consultant of EmeralDreams, where she oversees licensing and screening for film productions, manages client communications, and prepares consulting reports, including being a sector lead and co-author for the United Nations Coastal Tourism Breakthrough. In this capacity, Ms. Vogt drafts policy documents, delivers presentations, and conducts training workshops for industry professionals on sustainability within the travel and tourism sector and beyond.

Since 2024, Ms. Vogt has also served as Lead Producer at Seastoria, where she has been instrumental in producing films and trainings that highlight environmental and socioeconomic issues affecting the Pacific region. Her expertise extends to her tenure as the Climate Solutions Manager at Sustainable Travel International from 2021 to 2024, during which she conducted carbon footprint measurements for more than 100 companies and measured the carbon footprint of Palau's tourism industry. Her work as a Climate Change Negotiator from 2022 to 2023 included representing Palau at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties.

Ms. Vogt's earlier roles include serving as local coordinator for the International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF) and the Palau Bureau of Tourism (BOT) from 2020 to 2021, where she facilitated international partnerships focused on sustainable development and creating the policies and workshops to safely re-open Palau's borders after the pandemic. From 2019 to 2020, she served as a sustainability and social responsibility associate at the Pacific Asia Travel Association, advancing best practices across the Asia-Pacific travel sector.

Her foundational experience includes serving as global service director at Walla Walla University from 2016 to 2017, where she managed international service projects, and as events associate and office assistant at Walla Walla University from 2013 to 2016. During her last year of undergrad, Ivory managed a team of five people and worked diligently to raise funds to help sponsor the high school education of Congolese teenagers living in refugee camps in Rwanda. In one year, Ivory and her team were able to raise $75,000 through events, donations and other fundraising initiatives. She also volunteered in vocational training schools in Rwanda during her university breaks.

Throughout her career, Ms. Vogt has demonstrated exceptional leadership in both professional and volunteer capacities. Ms. Vogt's dedication to climate advocacy is evident through her role as a Pacific Climate Warrior, representing Palau among a select group of representatives from each Pacific island. This group collaborates on advocacy campaigns and projects to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change on their communities and to advocate for climate and ocean justice.

Among her most notable accomplishments is the development of the Palau Sustainable Travel Guide, which reflects her heritage and passion for sustainable tourism. She also co-authored and led the United Nations Coastal Tourism Breakthrough, one of five ocean breakthroughs under the High-Level Champions and Marrakesh Partnership at the United Nations, marking a historic commitment by the global travel industry to climate action by 2050.

Ms. Vogt's academic background has been integral to her success. She earned a Master of Science in Tourism, Environment and Development from King's College London in 2020, graduating with a distinction. Her undergraduate studies culminated in a Bachelor of Arts in International Communications and a minor in Business from Walla Walla University in 2017, where she graduated summa cum laude. She completed her secondary education with a high school diploma from Tamalpais High School in 2013.

Her professional credentials include certification as a Climate Change Professional from the Association of Climate Change Officers in 2024, completion of Key Essentials: The Paris Agreement, Sustainable Development and Law coursework at Bennett School of Public Policy in 2023, Sustainability Management for Tourism Businesses training through Training Aid in 2022 and a Sustainable Tourism Professional Certificate from Global Sustainable Tourism Council in 2021. Additionally, he received a C1-advanced German certificate from telc GmbH, the European Language Certificates, in 2018. She also received a Growth Starter System Plus+ certification from Hummingbird META in 2025 and is currently completing her Master of Business Essentials Certificate from the London School of Economics.

Ms. Vogt attributes her achievements to an open-minded approach and willingness to embrace and overcome new challenges, qualities inspired by her mother, Irene Olkeriil, a Palauan national, whose leadership in entrepreneurship and public engagement in Palau has served as a guiding example.

In the travel industry, Ms. Vogt draws deep inspiration from her father, Dieter Vogt—a German national whose global adventures included scuba diving, heli-skiing, paragliding, and hiking across diverse regions of the world. Building on this legacy, and through her own extensive travels to more than 30 countries, Ivory has gained a passion for travel and tourism, along with a critical view of economic development. These lifetime experiences have significantly strengthened her passion for advocacy and appreciation for different cultures and worldviews.

Her civic involvement includes serving as coordinator of volunteers and board member for Impact Hope from 2018 to 2023, marketing and public relations intern for Hope Heals from 2016 to 2017, and she is currently serving on the board for Create Belau, an artist collective in Palau. She is also an advisor for the Travel Foundation.

Born in Koror, Republic of Palau, Ms. Vogt enjoys practicing yoga, playing the guitar, going free diving in the ocean, and listening to world music. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her family's tourism business in Palau while continuing her pursuit of a career with larger organizations dedicated to sustainability and social responsibility. She remains committed to balancing her professional ambitions with ongoing support for advocacy projects in the Pacific region.
