Dr. Scott has established a notable career in nursing and women's health, marked by her commitment to the military health care community and her advocacy for adolescent sexual health and teenage pregnancy prevention. Since 2021, she has served as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where she sees patients from growing families in the military community. Her work encompasses triage, labor and delivery, postpartum care, outpatient care, and educating students and residents. Dr. Scott contributes to the clinical education and professional development or residents, students, and nurses. While assigned to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, in 2023, she was selected as a General Body Member to the Army's inaugural Women's Initiative Team at the Pentagon. This team advocated for policy and resource changes to support recruitment, retention, readiness, advancement, health, diversity, empowerment, and well-being of women within the Army.

Since joining Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Dr. Scott's career has been highlighted by her management of Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) metrics, including cervical cancer screening at the family medicine residency clinic. This role broadened Dr. Scott's perspective on expanding her practice within both family medicine and her specialized field of women's health.

Beyond her primary career objectives, Dr. Scott has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Cincinnati since 2019, where she imparts her expertise to future health care professionals.

Leveraging her expertise, Dr. Scott was a Certified Nurse Midwife at Southern Crescent Women's Healthcare from 2018 to 2020, providing comprehensive care to women at all stages of pregnancy and reproductive health. Between 2014 and 2018, she held multiple positions at CHI Franciscan Health, including as a Certified Nurse Midwife, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, and EPIC physician builder. In these capacities, Dr. Scott delivered patient-centered care while also contributing to the optimization of the electronic medical record.

Dr. Scott's earlier experience included serving as a Registered Nurse with the U.S. Department of Defense from 2010 to 2012, during which she provided direct patient care to military families. She then spent 2008 to 2010 developing her skills as a registered nurse with Pediatric Services of America, focusing on pediatric patient populations.

Dr. Scott's academic journey began with an associate degree in nursing from Florida State Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Phoenix. She also earned a Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University in 2014. In 2022, Dr. Scott achieved her most notable academic milestone by earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Cincinnati. A passionate advocate for holistic wellness, she also pursued paramedical tattooing for breast cancer survivors, a pursuit rooted in her belief that self-image profoundly influences well-being and kindness toward others.

Beyond her clinical roles, Dr. Scott is deeply involved in civic initiatives that support military families and the advancement of women in the armed forces. She also volunteers with the March of Dimes, supporting maternal and infant health causes, and for military organizations that assist spouses.

Dr. Scott's contributions have been recognized with several prestigious accolades, including the Army Civilian Service Commendation Medal in 2023 and the Educator of the Year award for Graduate Medical Education from the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in 2023. She was also recognized among the Top 10 Nursing Preceptors at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in 2023 and received a Daisy Award in 2025.

Looking ahead, Dr. Scott plans to establish her own practice focused on telemedicine or a medical wellness spa that will offer paramedical tattooing as well as comprehensive healthcare services for women, men, and teenagers, particularly in sexual health, emphasizing a holistic approach to wellness for all patients she serves.
