As an innovative leader and seasoned manager, she has significantly enhanced the quality of care and education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and actively supported strategies that encourage greater family engagement and continuous professional development of early learning teachers, especially in integrating the use of technology. She has also testified and advocated to strengthen and improve the early childhood education ecosystem at the federal, state, and local levels. Prior to joining ACCA, Ms. Ballivian Linale excelled as a Director at Kids Corner Day Care Center from 2007 to 2009. During this time, she was responsible for guiding the center's educational philosophy and daily operations, further developing her expertise in early childhood program administration.
From 2003 to 2007, Ms. Ballivian Linale held the position of Infant Toddler Coordinator at CentroNia, a prominent nonprofit organization in Washington, District of Columbia, where she developed and implemented projects that focused on family engagement within programs serving young children. Her work at CentroNia provided a strong foundation for her understanding of the critical importance of early experiences for learning and development.
Throughout her career, Ms. Ballivian Linale has been recognized for her passion and transformative impact on individual children's lives. Much of Ms. Ballivian Linale's approach to leadership and advocacy within the field has been shaped by her equally accomplished academic background. She earned a Master of Science in early childhood services with honors from Arkansas State University in 2022, an accomplishment that saw her recognized with the Outstanding Achievement in Early Childhood Services award that same year. She also holds a bachelor's degree in educational psychology from Catholic University in her native Bolivia and completed coursework in human resources management and personnel administration at George Mason University.
Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, Ms. Ballivian Linale has obtained numerous certifications related to social-emotional learning (SEL) and early childhood leadership. She is certified in SEL instruction by the University of Colorado Boulder and has completed several courses in early childhood development, happiness at work and leadership growth through edX. To expand her knowledge in supporting the interactions of infants and toddlers, she earned the Infant Class credential through Teachstone.
