Dr. Sheneman has established a distinguished career in the fields of psychology, social work, and higher education, marked by a commitment to continual learning and service. Since 2025, she has served as an adjunct professor at Southern New Hampshire University, where she teaches forensic psychology to graduate students. In this academic role, Dr. Sheneman is dedicated to fostering the next generation of mental health professionals and sharing her expertise in grief therapy, trauma therapy and sex therapy.

Concurrently, Dr. Sheneman owns and operates her own private practice, providing virtual therapeutic services since 2019. Her practice is recognized for its focus on grief, trauma and sex therapy, areas in which she has developed significant expertise. She is also a licensed clinical social worker with Ananda Integrative Healing Group, a position she has held since 2019. In these capacities, Dr. Sheneman delivers both in-person and virtual therapy, supporting individuals and families through complex emotional challenges.

From 2016 to 2019, Dr. Sheneman worked as a psychotherapist at Psychology Associates of Bethlehem PC. There, she provided therapeutic services to individuals, couples and families, further refining her clinical skills across diverse populations. Her earlier experience includes serving as an independent contractor with Indian Creek Foundation from 2014 to 2016, during which she provided behavioral analysis and therapeutic interventions to children and families in home settings.

Dr. Sheneman's professional journey began at the Bucks County courthouse, where she was employed as a domestic relations support officer and child support enforcement officer from 2005 to 2016. This foundational experience informed her understanding of family dynamics and the intersection of criminal justice with social work.

Among her notable achievements is her invitation to participate in a docu-series titled "The Virgin Islands" through Channel 4 in England. Additionally, Dr. Sheneman is a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development and engagement with leading industry organizations.

Her academic background is equally distinguished. Dr. Sheneman earned a Doctor of Psychology in grief counseling from American International Theism University in California in 2025. She holds a Master of Social Work from the College of Health Professions and Social Work at Temple University, completed in 2013. This advanced degree provided the foundation for her licensure as a clinical social worker. It enabled her to pursue specialized certifications, including licensed clinical social worker status, a certified clinical trauma professional designation from Evergreen Certifications LLC, and an accredited sex therapy-informed professional designation from the same institution. Dr. Sheneman also earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Temple University in 2010.
