Before establishing her own practice, Dr. Mister served as a physical therapist at OU Physicians in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, from 2013 to 2015. Despite initial doubts about her ability to pursue this specialty, she stayed motivated and persevered. When one of the lead physical therapists relocated unexpectedly, Dr. Mister was offered the position, allowing her to work closely with a renowned urogynecologist whose ongoing research and surgical innovations have advanced the field of pelvic health.

Earlier, Dr. Mister excelled as a physical therapist at a skilled nursing facility in Warner Robins, Georgia, between 2009 and 2013. In this role, she gained valuable experience treating a diverse patient population and further developed her clinical skills.

Dr. Mister graduated from Montgomery County High School in Kilmichael, Mississippi, in 1999. She later completed undergraduate studies in Kinesiology (Magna Cum Laude) at Mississippi State University in Starkville in 2005 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson in 2008. In addition to her formal education, Dr. Mister has completed several trainings and certifications through Syracuse University and the D'Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families, including Onward to Opportunity in 2023. She continuously seeks opportunities to improve her professional, leadership, and business knowledge.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Mister's impact has extended into community engagement and education. She has delivered talks on pelvic health at Louisiana State University's Shreveport campus and served as a keynote speaker at the Women in LeadHership Conference in 2025. She was also a visitor host for BNI Lagniappe from 2020 to 2022. Civically invested, Dr. Mister has been engaged with organizations like the Alpha Lambda Psi Military Spouses Sorority and Jack and Jill of America. She has also held various roles, having chaired community outreach for the Young Professional Initiative of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and serving as a board member and volunteer with the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Foundation. Moreover, Dr. Mister has volunteered her time at local festivals, such as the Red River Revel and Brew, and has supported Christian Services, catering to people experiencing homelessness. Each year, she donates to and volunteers with Wreaths Across America.

Dr. Mister's achievements have been widely recognized. She was nominated as Emerging Business of the Year by the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Minority Business Opportunity Award in 2021. SOW & REAP Physical Therapy LLC was nominated for Emerging Business of the Year by the United States Chamber of Commerce Dream Big Award in 2022. SOW & REAP Physical Therapy has secured two national grants and a few smaller grants totaling over $70,000. The facility also received business training from Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women in Business in 2024 and was voted #1 Best Physical Therapy by the Shreveport-Bossier Choice Award in both 2024 and 2025.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mister has attributed her success to honesty, grace and an unwavering commitment to listening deeply to patients' concerns rather than dismissing their pain or treating them as numbers. She fosters a family-like environment within her organization, praying with patients when appropriate and striving for genuine connection.

Inspired by her children and military family background, including her husband, who recently retired as a Major in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Mister aims to establish SOW & REAP Physical Therapy LLC as the leading pelvic physical therapy clinic in the Southeast and at every military base.
