Prior to reaching her current position at Corteva, Ms. van Zyl served as the supply chain leader and protector for Africa and the Middle East from 2019 to 2025. Based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa, she was responsible for managing complex supply chain operations across diverse markets, demonstrating her expertise in navigating logistical challenges and fostering cross-cultural collaboration. Her accomplishments with the company have seen her recognized with several accolades, including the Corteva Ambassador Award for Africa and Middle East in 2024 and the Corteva Award in 2021.

Before joining Corteva, Ms. van Zyl held the position of team leader for supply chain and customer service at BASF — a leading chemical manufacturer that specializes in environmental safety and green transformation initiatives — in Midrand, South Africa, in 2019. During this period, she led teams that focused on optimizing customer satisfaction and streamlining supply chain processes. From 2016 to 2019, she worked as a demand and supply chain planner, where she played a key role in forecasting demand and aligning supply strategies with business objectives throughout South Africa.

Earlier in her tenure at BASF, Ms. van Zyl served as an inventory controller in Johannesburg in 2015, during which she managed inventory levels and processed stock orders to support business continuity. From 2010 to 2014, she was a purchasing and production coordinator in the Durban Area. Collaborating with the company's marketing teams, she generated raw material forecasts as well as production schedules to ensure seamless shipping operations.

Gaining valuable early experience in inventory management, customer assistance and process enquiries, Ms. van Zyl began her professional journey as an administrative assistant for internal sales at Rapid Allweiler Pumps from 2008 to 2009. The year before that, she served as an administrative assistant and personal assistant to the director at Dent Doctor Durban, where she performed administrative security checks, arranged insurance claims and handled various record keeping and financial responsibilities.

Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning and professional growth, Ms. van Zyl earned a certificate in business management with a focus on business administration and management from Mancosa in Durban, South Africa, in 2019.
