Ms. Guarino began her career at Residential Assisted Living Academy in 2015. After graduating from college, she initially served as her father's assistant, then quickly became the organization's first employee. Over time, she contributed to the hiring and development of more than 50 staff members, supporting the company's growth and expansion. Ms. Guarino's dedication and expertise led her to advance into the role of Chief Operating Officer before ultimately assuming the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Before pivoting into the Assisted Living sector, Ms. Guarino's professional journey began as a flight attendant with US Airways (now American Airlines) from 2013 to 2015. This early experience provided her with valuable skills in customer service, adaptability and crisis management.
Ms. Guarino's academic background included earning a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Arizona State University in Tempe in 2013. During her time on campus, she was recognized as an Obama Scholar, received Dean's List distinction, Pan-Hellenic Scholar recognition through the Chi Omega Fraternity and Provost Scholar status. These achievements reflect Ms. Guarino's dedication to academic excellence and personal growth.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Guarino is deeply committed to civic engagement and service. Since 2015, she has served as a missionary with Praying Pelican Missions, contributing to outreach efforts both domestically and internationally. She has also been involved with Grace Community Christian Church doing mission work since 2007 and has volunteered with Make-A-Wish America since 2010, supporting children with critical illnesses.
Ms. Guarino attributes her success to active engagement with her community, seeking guidance from diverse mentors and participating in mastermind groups. Her entry into the Residential Assisted Living profession was inspired by personal family experience and her father's vision for affordable, high-quality senior care following a family health crisis. Observing his transition from traditional real estate investment into Assisted Living motivated Ms. Guarino to join him in building an organization dedicated to transforming senior housing.
