Prior to her current positions, Ms. Coones worked as a case management nurse at Healthmap Solutions in 2021. During her tenure, she collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored care solutions for complex patient populations. During the preceding year, she contributed her expertise as a case management nurse at St. Luke's Health System, where she was instrumental in developing individualized care strategies and supporting patients through transitions in care.

In 2019, Ms. Coones served as an RN care manager at Veterans Affairs Boise, where she provided critical support to veterans by managing chronic conditions and facilitating access to essential services. She was also an RN case manager at Blue Cross of Idaho from 2016 to 2019 after beginning her career with two tenures in similar nursing roles at St. Alphonsus Home Health and Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Throughout her career, Ms. Coones has been actively involved in professional organizations that reflect her dedication to nursing excellence. She has been a member of Sigma Nursing since 2023 and the American Nurses Association since 2016, engaging with peers and contributing to the advancement of the nursing profession.

Ms. Coones's academic achievements have played a pivotal role in shaping her career trajectory. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City in 2024, an accomplishment she considers her most notable achievement, given the challenge of completing graduate studies while raising three children. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Sheridan College.

Dedicated to professional growth, Ms. Coones holds a range of credentials that strengthen her ability to provide exceptional care. She holds active registered nurse licenses in several states, including California, Illinois, Oregon and Idaho and maintains certifications in case management and health care quality. In addition, she is certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers through the American Heart Association.

Reflecting on her career, Ms. Coones attributes her success to the values instilled in her by her parents, who emphasized hard work from an early age, as well as the guidance provided by her nursing professors at Sheridan College, who served as influential role models throughout her education.

In her personal life, Ms. Coones enjoys practicing yoga, making wood signs and crafting. She also participates in civic work, having volunteered with Girls on the Run and the Alzheimer's Association.
