As President and Chief Revenue Officer at Pathpoint since 2021, he has overseen the development of a digital sales and client management platform that integrates artificial intelligence into the sales process. His leadership has enhanced operational efficiency and improved the agent experience. In his day-to-day responsibilities, he manages cross-functional teams to streamline operations across underwriting, financial operations and marketing, all while cultivating strategic partnerships that expand market presence and reinforce competitive advantage.

In addition to his role at Pathpoint, Mr. Blust has also been the founder of Insurance Innovation Consulting Services LLC, based in Naples, Florida, since starting the business in 2021. Through this venture, he leverages decades of industry knowledge to advise companies on overcoming operational challenges and achieving sustainable growth through innovative sales strategies.

Before beginning his current roles, Mr. Blust served as Chief Executive Officer at National Flood Services from 2019 to 2021. When he assumed leadership, the company was experiencing annual losses of and had recently lost three major clients. Demonstrating his renowned turnaround expertise, Mr. Blust overhauled all processes, sales strategies and operational practices. He implemented a significant restructuring by reducing staff by 50 percent and successfully regained the National Flood Insurance Program as a client, along with other large clients who had previously departed due to service issues. Under his direction, National Flood Services reversed its negative trends and reestablished itself as an industry leader, a professional achievement he regards as one of his most significant.

Prior to this, Mr. Blust was President at Insureon Solutions in Chicago from 2010 to 2019. He was concurrently managing partner and commercial network leader for North America at Willis from 2010 to 2014, where he was named to the Top 1% club. From 2002 to 2010, he held the position of Executive Vice President at Crump Insurance in Chicago after serving as a Senior Vice President for High Performance Programs Group at Willis of Illinois for the preceding four years.

During his early career, Mr. Blust worked as an Assistant Vice President and Executive Program Manager at TIG Insurance Company between 1995 and 1999, where he managed key accounts and oversaw program implementation. He was also the Vice President at AIG Chicago for five years after beginning his career as a Sales Representative with Arthur J. Gallagher International from 1988 to 1990.

Mr. Blust's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts in finance and risk management from Illinois Wesleyan University, earned in 1985. In addition to his education, he attributes much of his success to several mentors whose guidance helped him navigate professional challenges. Their counsel proved invaluable as he advanced through increasingly complex roles. Additionally, he acknowledges the importance of his personal support network for continually challenging him to improve, an influence that has driven many of his achievements.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Blust has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement and philanthropy. He served as a volunteer, contributor and board member for Sharing Connections from 2000 to 2013, volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Charities and acted as a board member for the Park & Recs Board in the Village of Riverside, Illinois. He has also contributed as local fundraising chair for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

In his personal life, Mr. Blust is also a devoted husband to Jo Ann and parent to one child, two stepchildren and loving grandparent. He enjoys volunteering at his church above all other activities, but also finds pleasure in fishing, golf, travel, cooking and attending sporting events.

Looking ahead, Mr. Blust intends to assist additional companies in reaching new levels of success or overcoming ongoing challenges through his consulting firm.
