DREXEL HILL, PA, December 19, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Erika L. Whyte, MBA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Whyte has established herself as a distinguished leader in diversity, equity and inclusion, currently serving as the vice president and director at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC since 2022. In this capacity, she oversees the firm's comprehensive four-pronged strategy for diversity, equity and inclusion, ensuring robust course offerings on the learning management system, community engagement programming, ensuring development opportunities are accessible for all employees and managing all employee resource groups. Her responsibilities also include directing the charitable matching gifts program and the emergency grant program.

Prior to joining Janney Montgomery Scott, Ms. Whyte was the assistant vice president of enterprise diversity and inclusion at Lincoln National Corporation from 2020 to 2022, during which time she played a pivotal part in shaping company-wide initiatives that promoted equitable practices. From 2015 until 2020, she served as the diversity and inclusion program manager at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she developed and implemented strategies to enhance workplace inclusivity across multiple business lines.

Earlier in her tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Ms. Whyte held the role of risk project manager from 2014 to 2015, overseeing complex projects focused on risk mitigation and compliance. Previously, she was the vice president and director of client services at the Bank of New York Mellon between 2010 and 2014, following her time as a project manager at the PNC Financial Services Group Inc. from 2005 until 2010.

From 1998 to 2005, Ms. Whyte served as a systems integrations manager at PFPC, where she led technology integration projects critical to operational efficiency. She began her professional endeavors with formative internships at FOX 29 Philadelphia and CBS Radio. During her internship at CBS Radio in 1990, she edited clips for Walter Cronkite and had the unique opportunity to meet Nelson Mandela following his release from prison.

Laying the foundation for Ms. Whyte's professional achievements was her academic background. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from Temple University in 1991, followed by a Master of Business Administration in project management from Florida Institute of Technology in 2021. Additionally, she completed the Communicating with Clarity as a Manager course from LinkedIn in 2024 and holds credentials as a certified scuba diver.

Throughout her career, Ms. Whyte's professional excellence has been recognized through several prestigious awards. In 2025, she received the corporate social responsibility award and, earlier, was honored by Philadelphia Magazine for her initiatives promoting diversity. She finds particular inspiration in the gratitude expressed by those for whom she advocates, including individuals the neuro-diverse community, veterans, women and other underrepresented groups.

Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Whyte is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including Titan Executive Network since 2024, Chief since 2022 and the Black Alumni Association of her Alma mater. Her civic engagement extends to volunteer work with Ronald McDonald House Charities, various student groups at local colleges and universities and various other nonprofits.

Reflecting on her journey, Ms. Whyte credits her mother for shaping her values of care and dedication, guiding both her personal life and professional ethos. Her entry into advocacy was inspired by her experience as a parent navigating independent school environments in which her children were among few Black students; these personal events evolved into a professional calling when an opportunity arose to merge her advocacy with her business acumen.

Looking ahead, Ms. Whyte aims to ensure that her legacy endures through empowering others on her team to continue advancing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives without competition but through collaboration. She is committed to fostering an environment in which advocacy becomes second nature within organizations and plans to continue public speaking to inspire broader change across industries.
