ANDOVER, MA, December 19, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer Zhang-Mckenna, MBA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Zhang-Mckenna has built a distinguished reputation defined by her deep commitment to education, community service and professional excellence. Since 2006, she has served as an invoice data analyst for a government defense contractor, where she is responsible for auditing civilian project invoices. In this capacity, Ms. Zhang-Mckenna deploys a meticulous approach and signature dedication to fiscal responsibility to ensure that taxpayer funds are used appropriately and that all payments align with contractual obligations.

In addition to her work in the defense sector, Ms. Zhang-Mckenna is one of the founders of the Winchester School of Chinese Culture, a nonprofit organization she and a group of Chinese moms launched in 2004. She has served in varies leadership roles (Principal, Vice Principal, outreach director) for more than 20 years.

The Chinese school was initially established as a weekend program. She responded to parents' concerns about the limitations of once-a-week language instruction and developed a more comprehensive after-school program. Despite having no prior experience with such initiatives, she collaborated with the education department and local authorities to secure necessary licensing, space and transportation. The new program began with 10 students in 2007 and grown to a couple hundred students in 2025, and the Sunday program, which started with 30 enrollees, has grown to serve around 700 students under Ms. Zhang-Mckenna's inspired leadership.

Ms. Zhang-Mckenna's entry into educational administration was inspired by personal experience: when her own children reached school age, she sought an environment conducive to learning Chinese but found existing curricula unsuitable. She and fellow founders proudly founded the Winchester School of Chinese Culture using a curriculum developed by a Chinese scholar from Stanford University, and the institution was the first school in Massachusetts to implement this approach tailored for children growing up outside China. In recognition of her meaningful contributions, Ms. Zhang-Mckenna received the Outstanding Community Leader Recognition in 2020 presented by the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Ms. Zhang-Mckenna's greatest professional satisfaction comes from witnessing her students excel in Chinese communication and achieve high scores on the Advanced Placement Chinese test as early as ninth and tenth grade. She finds it especially rewarding when former students return as volunteers, mentoring younger children in subjects such as mathematics and teaching English to seniors at the Winchester School of Chinese Culture. Ms. Zhang-Mckenna's efforts have fostered a vibrant community where academic achievement and civic engagement go hand in hand.

A passion for learning drove Ms. Zhang-Mckenna to pursue academic excellence. She completed a Bachelor of Science in architecture at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, after which she worked as an engineer for eight years. Subsequently, she completed coursework toward a Master of Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts, earning advanced knowledge in business management and organizational leadership. Additionally, Ms. Zhang-Mckenna maintains membership in the Chinese American Association of Andover and serves on the board of Andover Chinese Culture, and her commitment to intergenerational learning is reflected in her affiliation with the Winchester Senior Center (Jenks Center).

Ms. Zhang-Mckenna attributes her success to attentive listening and a collaborative approach that prioritizes community needs over individual leadership. Born in Shanghai, she is deeply influenced by traditional Chinese culture and is a dedicated practitioner of Falun Dafa, a Buddhist school spiritual practice rooted in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. To achieve balance, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, learning new subjects, cooking and exploring topics related to finance and new technology. Looking toward the future, Ms. Zhang-Mckenna seeks to promote greater appreciation for traditional culture worldwide by emphasizing its enduring values and encouraging others to discover its richness through authentic experiences and openness.
