Ms. Chien's educational background has played a pivotal role in shaping her professional journey. She earned a master's degree in administration and supervision from the University of Kentucky in 1973, following a bachelor's degree in music education from the same institution in 1968. Born in Pulaski County, Ms. Chien values both family and personal enrichment. Her spouse, Sufan Chien,MD is a professor whose research has influenced their joint biotechnology ventures. Together, they have two children: Lynn Chien, MD, an emergency room Doctor, and Sam Chien, PhD, a researcher. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Chien enjoys playing the piano and attending concerts.
