Ms. Boone previously worked for the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services, starting as a Human Resources Generalist in 2021 before being promoted to Senior Human Resources Generalist in 2022.

Ms. Boone's earlier tenure at the Virginia Department of Corrections included roles as Personnel Assistant from 2018 to 2021 after initially being hired as a Program Support Technician in 2018. Her professional journey also included a Benefit Programs Specialist I for the Southampton County Department of Social Services in Courtland, Virginia, from 2017 to 2018. Ms. Boone began her professional tenure with the Virginia Department of Health in Prince George, as an Office Services Specialist in 2012, where she was soon after named a Fiscal Technician in Courtland and an Office Services Specialist II in Emporia.

Ms. Boone's academic achievements have been foundational to her success. She graduated with an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Strayer University in 2010 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management, with honors, from Strayer University in 2013. These academic credentials provided her with a strong theoretical background that has informed her practical approach to human resources management throughout her career. In addition to her formal education, Ms. Boone is a certified Virginia notary, further demonstrating her commitment to professionalism and ethical standards.
