She has also spearheaded studio expansion efforts, ensuring sustainable growth for the company while maintaining exceptional standards of service.

Ms. Maharaj's tenure at Bodybar Pilates has been marked by significant achievements. Despite the challenges posed by adapting to a new country and navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, she successfully built two thriving studios from the ground up. Under her leadership, the Katy location emerged as one of the most successful within the franchise network, earning her the President's Award in both 2023 and 2025. The studio also joined the Million Dollar Club after surpassing $1 million in revenue — a testament to her strategic vision and operational acumen.

Prior to assuming ownership of Bodybar Pilates, Ms. Maharaj managed her family's real estate business in Trinidad and Tobago from 2011 to 2016. Further honing her skills in negotiation, customer service and organizational leadership, she was responsible for overseeing property transactions, client relations and daily operations.

From 2004 to 2011, Ms. Maharaj excelled as a procurement and supply chain management professional for various companies in Trinidad and Tobago. During this period, she developed a strong proficiency in sourcing strategies, vendor management and logistics coordination — skills that have proven invaluable in her ownership of Bodybar Pilates.

In addition to her primary roles, Ms. Maharaj has made an impact as a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply since 2011 and serves as an appointed member of the Bodybar Pilates Franchise Advisory Council. Additionally, she maintains memberships with both the Katy Chamber of Commerce and Cypress Chamber of Commerce and participates in the Founders Club, highlighting her community awareness and dedication to networking among fellow business owners.

Before venturing onto her path in supply chain management, Ms. Maharaj pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine in 2004. To augment her knowledge and qualifications, she was certified as a purchasing manager by the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply in 2011.

Throughout her life and career, Ms. Maharaj has attributed her success to the entrepreneurial upbringing provided by her parents, both of whom emphasized the importance of perseverance and self-confidence.
