He earned a Juris Doctor from Suffolk Law School in 1981 and completed a Master of Business Administration at Case Western Reserve University in 1973. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Howard University, graduating in 1968.

Mr. Dixon's commitment to civic engagement is evident through his involvement with several prominent organizations. He served as Sire Archon, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity from 2007 to 2009 and is a past president of Theta Eta Lambda, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Outside his professional life, he prioritizes family, including time with his two sons and enjoys playing golf, fishing and traveling in his free time.
