She serves as chief operations officer at Wings of Hope Recovery, a real estate development company dedicated to acquiring and renovating distressed properties in opportunity zones throughout Connecticut. In this capacity, Ms. Protzman manages multiple departments, oversees a staff of approximately 20 individuals, and supervises 104 housing units within a mid-sized organization. Her responsibilities include human resources, operations, workflow optimization, time and task management, in-house training, and oversight of finance, admissions, house management, facilities, and marketing. She ensures daily work activities align with organizational goals and supports a model that provides affordable housing for individuals in recovery from addiction or alcoholism, enabling the company to remain a for-profit entity with significant social impact.

Before her current executive role, Ms. Protzman was Director of Business Development at Wings of Hope Recovery, where she expanded the organization's reach and developed strategic partnerships. She also works as a business consultant at Smith PR Company, contributing expertise to diverse projects and collaborations across industries.

Her background includes serving as a digital creator for CT News Junkie; contributing to partnerships, development, and engagement for Onyx Elite LLC; and co-hosting Le Dîner en Blanc for the local chapter of the national brand, where she secured sponsorships from prominent companies such as Maserati and iHeartRadio.

Ms. Protzman previously served as director of communications and fund development at Winning Ways, Inc., a nonprofit supporting people in recovery and individuals transitioning from incarceration through financial literacy programs, employment services, and art therapy. Her innovative leadership at Winning Ways earned her the Sunspot Innovation Award from the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce (2024), a recognition requiring community nominations and selection among hundreds of candidates.

She has also worked as a sales and marketing specialist for Fraser's Mathematics Solutions and as director of communications and nonprofit development at Onyx Elite LLC. Her earlier career includes roles such as resident services administrator and SOAR forensics administrator at Columbus House; marketing intern for Silver Fern Healthcare; program advocate at Liberty Community Services; SOAR benefits administrator at Columbus House; regional marketing manager for Maia Yogurt; marketing specialist at Sky Property Services; campus representative for Apple Inc.; and real estate development work with NeighborWorks® America.

Throughout her career, Ms. Protzman has maintained and participated in active memberships in several industry-related organizations Connecticut Young Professionals, Connecticut Women's Council, and the Women's Leadership Council at the Workforce Institute in partnership with Hofstra University.

Ms. Protzman's academic background includes a Master of Business Administration from Post University, coursework in paralegal studies at CT State Gateway, and a Bachelor of Arts in legal studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

She has held leadership roles within the Junior League network including President, served as a Rotarian with Rotary International, volunteered with Love146 in its mission to end child trafficking, contributed to youth sports through coaching and concessions management, and supported numerous food pantries and community initiatives. Her volunteer history also includes contributions to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, where she has been active in awareness, advocacy, and fundraising.

Ms. Protzman's dedication has been recognized through numerous honors, including the Sunspot Innovation Award from the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and the Rebekah Lyas Award from Winning Ways Inc. She has also been celebrated as part of the Women Who Inspire Us International Women's Day Exhibit and received the People – The Heart of Connecticut recognition from the Noah Webster House West Hartford. Born in Hartford, Ms. Protzman is devoted to her two children and enjoys exploring culinary experiences, blogging about local culture, and caring for her family. She remains committed to expanding Wings of Hope Recovery nationwide with the goal of establishing a presence in every state while challenging stigma around addiction recovery through innovative housing and service models. Additionally, she is writing a novel inspired by personal experiences, including her advocacy following a tragic drinking-and-driving accident that shaped her involvement in MADD's legislative and trauma-awareness efforts.
