As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Gibson's professional journey began after earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Montclair State University in 2010. During her undergraduate studies, she was a research assistant at the Center for Infant & Child Research from 2008 to 2010, contributing to projects focused on child development and behavioral health. She also completed an internship at the Essex County Rape Care Center in 2009, followed by a role as shift supervisor in 2010. That year, she further expanded her experience as a behavioral health intern with CarePoint Health System.
Ms. Gibson's commitment to social work led her to pursue a Master of Social Work at Columbia University, which she completed in 2012. While at Columbia, Ms. Gibson gained practical experience as a clinician and MSW intern at Irvington Counseling Center and as a senior counselor and MSW intern at Community Education Centers Inc. She also worked as a crisis intervention specialist with Family Intervention Services Inc., providing critical support to individuals and families during times of acute need.
In 2012, Ms. Gibson joined Integrity House as a counselor, marking the beginning of her longstanding association with the organization. Her dedication and clinical expertise quickly propelled her into management roles. From 2013 to 2016, she served as the director of the women's residential rehabilitative treatment program, overseeing a 41-bed unit within New Jersey's largest substance use residential setting. In this capacity, she supervised multidisciplinary staff, provided direct clinical services and participated in agency-wide management initiatives. Recognized for her ability to accept broader projects while excelling in her responsibilities, Ms. Gibson was promoted to the director of quality improvement in 2016. Over the next three years, she managed quality assurance across the agency, including licensing, accreditation, risk management and oversight of new program licensing.
In 2019, Ms. Gibson advanced to senior director of program operations before being appointed the chief clinical officer later that year, a position she continues to hold. As chief clinical officer, she provides oversight for all treatment programs and supports both middle and senior management teams. Her responsibilities include maintaining quality assurance standards, stakeholder engagement and advocacy efforts, and participating in initiatives that support addiction treatment work statewide and nationally. Notably, Ms. Gibson played an instrumental role in guiding Integrity House through significant challenges, most notably during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the organization remained operational under her leadership. She led planning, testing and policy processes that ensured safe service delivery for clients and staff alike. Her ability to embrace new projects and deliver results earned her the trust of executive leadership and contributed directly to the agency's growth and success.
Beyond her primary role at Integrity House, Ms. Gibson has served as an accreditation surveyor for CARF International since 2017, conducting surveys for agencies and offering guidance on best practices in behavioral health care. She has also been active in professional education as a lecturer at Rutgers University since 2020 and as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University since 2014.
Ms. Gibson's influence extends into professional organizations where she has held numerous leadership positions. To this end, she is a board member of the National Council for Mental Health and a board member-at-large for the American Society of Addiction Medicine (NJ). She has also been a member of the National Association of Social Workers since 2012. Ms. Gibson's civic engagement also includes serving as the vice chair of the Harm Reduction Committee within the New Jersey Professional Advisory Committee for Addictions since 2025. She has further been a care advocate with Family Service League Social Services and a disaster response crisis counselor with the Mental Health Association of Essex County.
Ms. Gibson's academic achievements have been foundational to her career progression. After completing her Master of Social Work, she pursued further education by earning a Master of Business Administration from Fitchburg State University in 2019, graduating with a perfect GPA and receiving the Graduate Student Leadership Award. She holds multiple professional certifications that have enhanced her clinical practice, including as a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, an approved clinical supervisor and a board-certified transgender care therapist. Notably, she is also a certified clinical trauma professional and certified in dialectical behavior and EMDR therapies.
Ms. Gibson has won numerous accolades in recognition of her esteemed accomplishments. These include the Champion of Clinical Operational Excellence award from the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies in 2025 and the NJBIZ Forty Under 40 Award in 2024. She was also named an Outstanding Leader in Substance Use Services by the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies in 2023. Equally impressive, her scholarly work includes co-authoring "Standards for Adolescent Care," pending release. Previously, she authored "Clinical Considerations for Engagement and Retention of Nonabstinent Patients in Care" in the Journal of Addiction Medicine in 2025 and edited "The ASAM Criteria: Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions Volume One: Adults," published by Hazelden Publishing in 2023, among other publications.
Throughout her career, Ms. Gibson has attributed much of her success to the unwavering support from her husband and her supervisors, who encouraged risk-taking and innovation within supportive environments. Outside her professional commitments, Ms. Gibson enjoys spending time with family. Ultimately, she seeks a work-life balance where she can be present for her children while continuing to embrace new experiences within her field.
