THOMASVILLE, GA, January 27, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maurice "Zickie" Allgrove has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Allgrove has established a notable career spanning more than three decades in civil engineering, project management and energy infrastructure. In his current role as the vice president of LNG consulting at Worley since 2023, he leverages his expertise to help clients establish their businesses across five principal pillars of liquefied natural gas terminal development. Headquartered in Australia, Worley is recognized as a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts.
Among his many responsibilities, Mr. Allgrove is tasked with supporting reliability, social license to operate, safety and security, and identifying techno-commercial and project risks. He is also recognized for managing technical, commercial and interpersonal elements to achieve final investment decisions for major projects. Mr. Allgrove's proficiency in pre-final investment decision proof-of-life for LNG import and export terminals has positioned him as an industry expert.
In addition to his contributions at Worley, Mr. Allgrove is the co-founder of Magic Kumquat Productions, a venture he established with his wife. The company was inspired by their shared passion for storytelling and conservation, initially sparked by the idea to document the expertise of a remarkable individual named Jerry. While residing in Miami, they collaborated with a videographer neighbor to produce their first documentary, "Adventures in History," over five years ago. Following their relocation to Thomasville, Georgia, after Hurricane Irma, Mr. Allgrove began volunteering to film prescribed burns, which led to a partnership with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and deepened their interest in ecology.
Under Mr. Allgrove's and his wife's leadership, Magic Kumquat Productions has notably produced several documentaries focused on prescribed fire and the longleaf ecosystem, one of the world's most diverse ecological regions. Their latest film, "Young Fires: The Future of Fire Lighting," earned an Emmy nomination for its trailer. Through this work, Mr. Allgrove and his wife (who was separately awarded an Emmy for her work with public television) remain committed to creating content that adds societal value by highlighting conservation and ecological stewardship.
From 2019 to 2023, Mr. Allgrove served as a senior vice president of LNG terminals and logistics at Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company (AG&P). In this role, he oversaw large-scale projects, including the Philippines LNG project, where he guided the initiative from concept through operational launch in record time for the country. This professional milestone was achieved in just 18 months after 15 years of national attempts, prior to that while at Advisian he supported the client in their development of the Cartagena LNG project in Colombia from pre-FID through startup, commissioning and operations.
Before this, Mr. Allgrove excelled as the vice president of transportation and logistics for midstream operations at Ausenco from 2018 to 2019. Between 2012 and 2018, he served as the vice president of transport and midstream for the Americas at Advisian, where he managed complex logistics networks supporting energy-sector growth. Among his earlier positions, Mr. Allgrove held roles with companies such as KBR in Houston, Ausenco Sandwell in Atlanta, URS Corporation in Miami, Erickson Consulting Engineers Inc. in Sarasota, Florida, and Coastal Systems International Inc. in Miami.
Mr. Allgrove began his career in 1989 as a junior engineer with Wallace Evans Jamaica Ltd., where one of his most proudest moments as an engineer was developing a simple culvert project which connected to a stranded community. This structure continues to connect communities and prevent road washouts during storms.
Mr. Allgrove's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, completed in 1989, and a Master of Science in bridge structures and geotechnical engineering from McGill University in Montreal in 1993. He also holds a chartered engineer certification from the Institution of Civil Engineers in the United Kingdom and maintains active membership in this organization.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Allgrove is civically engaged through involvement with Engineers Without Borders and other community-minded organizations dedicated to advancing engineering solutions for societal benefit.
Throughout his journey, Mr. Allgrove credits his success to influential mentors who guided him while challenging him to grow professionally. He emphasizes that access to education and exposure to new ideas enabled him to envision possibilities beyond immediate challenges. Inspired by his father's career as a civil engineer, Mr. Allgrove was drawn early on to designing plans that materialize into enduring structures. This ambition was realized through decades of impactful work across continents.
Eager for the future of his career, Mr. Allgrove remains dedicated to fostering an environment that empowers future generations of engineers and free thinkers, ensuring they have access to mentorship and opportunities that will enable them to make meaningful contributions wherever their paths may lead.
