A defining moment in Ms. Mantilla's journey was her relocation from Cuba to the United States in early 1999. Despite arriving without personal or professional connections, she completed her high school education with honors—a milestone that marked the beginning of her pursuit of excellence. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in structural engineering, from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts, in early 2008. WPI is recognized as one of the nation's leading private research universities dedicated to technology and engineering since 1865. Prior to that, she completed an Associate of Science in Engineering at Quinsigamond Community College in 2005. Her determination and resilience ultimately enabled her to establish her own engineering firm, underscoring her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to innovation.

Ms. Mantilla's professional experience includes serving as an engineering consultant for the City of Miami from 2019 until founding her company. Earlier, she worked as a structural project engineer at Kimley-Horn in 2019, contributing to structural engineering design projects of all kinds including structural design of mid-rise buildings and design of some of the structural elements in infrastructure projects. From 2017 to 2019, she held project engineering roles at United Engineering Consultants (later merged with Kimley-Horn) and Facade & Envelope, where she advanced her expertise in structural glazing design.

Her career foundation was established during her tenure as head engineer at ECOA Industrial Products from 2011 to 2017, where she managed engineering teams and directed large-scale industrial projects. Prior to that, she served as a project engineer at DLG Engineering, Inc. in 2010, shortly after relocating to Miami from Massachusetts. Her first professional experience began at Cabco Consultants in Clinton, Massachusetts, during her final semester at WPI (2007), followed by a role as a project cost estimator at Twin City Glass in late 2009.

Today, Ms. Mantilla is widely recognized for her expertise in structural engineering, including structural design for mid-rise buildings, residential construction, and modular structures. She attributes her success to the mentors and colleagues she has encountered throughout her career, as well as the lessons learned from both positive and challenging experiences—perspectives that have shaped her leadership and problem-solving approach.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Mantilla enjoys the arts, reading, watching films in theaters, and spending time outdoors. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her organization and grow her team by training the next generation of engineers.
