WASHINGTON, D.C., January 29, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michelle Persaud has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Persaud currently serves as Director of Federal Affairs and National Security Policy at T-Mobile USA Inc., a position she has held since 2007. In this capacity, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the company's legislative and regulatory strategies, particularly in matters of national security and telecommunications policy. Among her most significant achievements, she was selected by the Chief Executive Officer to lead and negotiate a landmark agreement with several organizations, facilitating the merger between T-Mobile USA Inc. and Sprint. Her advocacy work during this period was instrumental in advancing the company's interests and ensuring a successful outcome for all parties involved.

Prior to her tenure at T-Mobile USA Inc., Ms. Persaud served as counsel for the Committee on the Judiciary in the United States House of Representatives from 2001 to 2007. During her time with the committee, she made substantial contributions to the development of legislation and public policy. Ms. Persaud is particularly proud of her work with the Judiciary Committee, which she considers her greatest professional achievement. She played a significant role in shaping laws that remain in effect today and authored a bill that was ultimately signed by the president. Her early career in public service was marked by a commitment to meaningful legislative change and advocacy on behalf of the American public.

Ms. Persaud's professional development includes participation in the Black Leadership Management Accelerator Program at McKinsey Academy, McKinsey & Company in 2021. She also holds a certification in business strategy from McKinsey & Company, earned in 2021, which has further enhanced her strategic leadership capabilities within the telecommunications sector. Her commitment to leadership is also reflected in her role as a founding member of CHIEF in Washington, DC, from 2021 to 2022, an organization dedicated to supporting women executives.

Ms. Persaud's academic background laid a strong foundation for her career achievements. She earned a Juris Doctor from GW Law at The George Washington University in 2003, following completion of a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and philosophy from the University of Maryland in 2000. Overall, she attributes much of her success to her faith, which has provided guidance and reassurance during challenging times.

The influence of family has also been central to Ms. Persaud's professional journey. Inspired by her uncle, who served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Michigan, she pursued law school alongside her sister after being encouraged to realize her potential in the legal field. The events of September 11 during her second year of law school profoundly impacted her perspective, motivating her to serve her country through public service. An internship offered by her uncle led directly to her appointment as full-time counsel for the Judiciary Committee, where she assumed significant responsibilities early in her career.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Persaud is actively engaged in civic initiatives and philanthropy. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Ellington Fund & Duke Ellington School of the Arts since 2013 and supports organizations, such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Feeding America and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as mentoring others aspiring to make an impact in their fields.

Ms. Persaud's dedication has been recognized through multiple honors, including being named a three-time recipient of The Hill's Top Lobbyist Award from Nexstar Media Inc. between 2019 and 2021, as well as receiving T-Mobile USA Inc.'s Idealist of the Year Award in 2019. Looking ahead, she envisions herself continuing to grow into leadership roles while making a positive difference within her team and broader community. She ultimately wants to see others, especially women, succeed and enact justice for others. She encourages everyone to stand firm in their beliefs and not to back down as long as they have the best intentions.
