Since 2017, she has served as a Fractional Chief Financial Officer, management advisor, executive coach, and mentor at FinNiche LLC. In this capacity, she provides fractional CFO business strategy advisory, C-Suite transitional support, and strategic planning guidance to a diverse portfolio of organizations, including, startup's, non-profits, and growing businesses.

Ms. Nichani serves as a trusted partner to executive leadership, helping organizations optimize planning, budgeting, forecasting, key performance indicators, financial operations, and governance structures. Drawing on extensive experience as a finance director, controller, and senior financial leader, she brings a holistic, big-picture perspective that enables large, mid-sized, and small organizations across multiple industries to navigate complex financial landscapes with clarity and confidence.

From 2020 to 2025, Ms. Nichani served as Program Manager and Senior Internal, External, and Government Reporting Accountant for the United States Postal Service in Washington, D.C. During this period, she managed critical reporting functions and ensured compliance with complex regulatory standards, further solidifying her reputation for precision, rigor, and reliability in government and financial management.

In 2019, Ms. Nichani held the position of Senior Manager at MorganFranklin Consulting in Washington, D.C., where she led cross-functional teams on high-impact initiatives focused on financial transformation and operational efficiency. Her leadership contributed to the successful delivery of complex consulting engagements for a diverse client base across industries.

Ms. Nichani's tenure as Comptroller of Arlington County, Virginia, from 2017 to 2018 represents a significant milestone in her career. Overseeing the finances of one of the wealthiest counties in the Commonwealth, she demonstrated exceptional stewardship of public resources during a particularly challenging period. This role underscored her ability to manage complex budgets, financial operations, and enterprise systems while driving fiscal discipline and accountability at the highest levels of local government.

Prior to this role, Ms. Nichani served as Corporate Controller at Voxiva (acquired by Wellpass) from 2016 to 2017. She directed multinational, multi-currency corporate accounting functions, during a period of mergers, organizational transition and acquisition, ensuring seamless integration and continued financial integrity.

From 2014 to 2016, Ms. Nichani was Assistant Corporate Controller at Cognosante, where she played a key role in strengthening internal controls and streamlining financial reporting processes for the healthcare technology organization.

Between 2010 and 2014, Ms. Nichani served as Financial Reporting and Controls Chief and Internal Controls Council Co-Chair for Prince William County, Virginia. In this capacity, she was instrumental in launching the County's first enterprise-wide Internal Controls Council, centralizing controls and reporting across decentralized departments—including planning, development, parks, senior centers, police, detention centers, and fire—while conducting internal-control training for department directors and designees on best practices. Her contributions were recognized with the County Executive Award and the Continuous Quality Improvement Program Award from Prince William County Government.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Nichani was Controller at Johnson Controls from 2008 to 2010, where she received the Johnson Controls Global Internal Controls Award in both years for her contributions to global finance and compliance initiatives.

From 2005 to 2007, she served as Finance Director at Blitz Exteriors, overseeing all aspects of financial budget, planning, analysis, and operational finance.

Ms. Nichani began her professional journey as an Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1997 to 1998, followed by roles as Planning and Analysis Manager and Senior Accountant at Datapro Systems from 1998 to 2003.

Ms. Nichani's academic background includes a Master of Business Administration, with concentrations in information technology project management, leadership, and financial management from American Public University System, graduating with honors in 2013. She also earned a bachelor's degree in business management, with studies in accounting, finance, and marketing, from Christ University in Bangalore, India, in 1997.

Ms. Nichani's professional credentials include certification as a Certified Public Accountant by both the Virginia Board of Accountancy and Delaware Board of Accountancy, since 2009 as well as Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer and MicroStrategy Business and Department Analyst certification. She is also leadership and ethics certified from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society International, among other professional distinctions that have supported her advancement within the field. Throughout her career, she has maintained active membership with professional and honor organizations, including the Virginia Board of Accountancy and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society International.

Ms. Nichani's accomplishments have been recognized through numerous honors and awards, including the International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute Certification from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society in 2014, Delta Mu Delta Honor Society nomination by American Public University in 2013, the Award for Innovation and Excellence from the Virginia Government Finance Officers Association (VGFOA) in 2012, the County Executive Award from Prince William County Government in 2012, the Continuous Quality Improvement Program award from Prince William County Government in 2013 and Johnson Controls Global Internal Controls Awards in 2008 and 2009. She has served on VGFOA Education & Standards Setting Committes and a voting member of the local jurisdiction eligibility for the Goverment Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
