Mr. Daniels, a native of Plainfield, has established a distinguished career in music and business leadership, drawing inspiration from a family deeply rooted in the arts. His father was a professional drummer and piano player who collaborated with prominent jazz artists, while his mother performed as a professional singer with The Platters. This rich musical heritage influenced Mr. Daniels from an early age, leading him to begin playing guitar at eight years old and later to master the clarinet and drums in elementary school. To add his determination came for his love of track and science, seeing his family excel in sports and education and the work ethic it took to succeed.

In sixth grade, Mr. Daniels was invited to play bass in The Soul Emotions, a band that performed at local venues and schools for approximately one or two years under the guidance of Mrs. Parker and her son Thomas Parker. After the group disbanded, he played with a number of bands with Robin Ivey, Wade Parham, William Pierce, before co-founding The Emotional Sounds of Funk with Richard Dunn, Albert Blair, Myles Parham, performing throughout New Jersey and along the East Coast from 1973 to 1975. From childhood to 1980, Mr. Daniels performed intermittently with members of Parliament-Funkadelic, collaborating with founding members Eddie Hazel and Bernie Worrell, Tal Ross, Tiki Fulwood. Eddie Hazel and Tal Ross was among the guitarists who taught Mr. Daniels how to play the instrument, with Bernie Worrell providing invaluable mentorship during this formative period.

Following his learning tenure with Parliament-Funkadelic, Mr. Daniels served in the United States Navy from 1983 to 1986. After completing his service, he shifted focus toward raising his children while continuing to build his professional portfolio playing with former member PJaye Scott on a Millie Jackson Song. Doing an Album with Children of the Phunk EMI Records Davitt Sigerson.

Mr. Daniels's career includes significant roles outside of music. He spent nineteen years with the United States Postal Service and three years with The New Horizon Gospel Singing Group where he earned awards in drumming. Additionally, he worked for one year at United Parcel Service of America Inc. and could have held positions within both the fire and or police departments, but chose to work for the USPS.

In 2007, Mr. Daniels became chief executive officer of Songflight SSAAR in Virginia Beach. Two years later, he assumed the role of chief executive officer at Songflight SSAAR Productions and supervisor at Songflight R.A.D. Productions, also based in Virginia Beach. Since 2012, he has served as chief executive officer of Ball-90 Productions in Virginia Beach.

Throughout his career, Mr. Daniels has maintained active membership in several industry organizations, including the American Musician Association, the American Federation of Musicians, BMI, and the Independent Musicians Union.

His academic pursuits include coursework in business and corporate communications at Bryant & Stratton College in Virginia Beach, as well as studies in music theory and composition at Rutgers University. Although he did not complete a college degree program, Mr. Daniels credits his tenacity and commitment to lifelong learning as key factors in his success. He recalls advice from his German teacher from Arbor School in Piscataway emphasizing that dedicated study can lead to any achievement, a philosophy that has guided him throughout his journey.

Mr. Daniels's contributions extend beyond his professional endeavors into civic engagement and creative projects. He has volunteered as a musician for various churches and participated in clothing and food drives in Virginia and New Jersey. His creative output includes eight songs released on Spotify in 2026 and involvement with Children of the Funk.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Daniels enjoys building cars, upgrading computers and working with electronics. His children have been a source of motivation throughout his journey, reinforcing his belief that effort and resilience are essential for success.

Mr. Daniels continues to encourage others to pursue their goals despite obstacles, striving to serve as an example of triumph through dedication and hard work.
