LEESBURG, VA, February 04, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Akshay Viradiya, PE, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With nearly a decade of progressive responsibility, Mr. Viradiya has led the design, delivery, and standardization of hyperscale, Tier III and Tier IV mission-critical data center platforms supporting multi-gigawatt cloud and AI workloads on a global scale. His work is distinguished by original engineering contributions, independent professional judgment, and the ability to translate rapidly evolving compute requirements into scalable, production-ready infrastructure.
Mr. Viradiya currently serves as a Senior Staff Data Center Engineer at LinkedIn Corporation, where he drives the company's global data center infrastructure strategy and long-range planning to support accelerated AI adoption. He has defined and executed initiatives enabling year-over-year expansion in liquid-cooled GPU deployment capacity, translating AI/ML demand forecasts into regional expansion plans, capital investment strategies, and resilient infrastructure delivery. His responsibilities span executive advisory on critical lifecycle decisions, global site selection, and the establishment of first-of-a-kind technical standards and service-level agreements.
Among his most significant achievements at a leading technology company, Mr. Viradiya led a company-wide transformation from traditional air-cooled data center architecture to advanced liquid-cooled infrastructure purpose-built for next-generation AI workloads. Under his technical leadership, company advanced from legacy rack densities of 10 to 15 kilowatts per rack to liquid-cooled environments capable of sustaining more than 110 kilowatts per rack. The program represents one of the most consequential infrastructure evolutions in company's data center history and established a scalable foundation aligned with the company's multi-year AI roadmap.
Mr. Viradiya held progressively senior engineering and leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from 2020 to 2024, culminating in his appointment as Electrical Engineering Manager for Data Center Infrastructure Engineering in the Americas East Region. In this capacity, he led and exercised technical authority across a portfolio of more than 60 hyperscale data center projects, delivering over 3 gigawatts (GW) of new IT capacity in one of AWS's fastest-growing regions. He served as Engineer of Record (EOR), overseeing the full lifecycle of mission-critical electrical designs for projects exceeding $500 million in physical infrastructure value and leading the rapid expansion of cloud and AI/ML infrastructure across the United States.
Mr. Viradiya led several global engineering initiatives of major significance. Akshay spearheaded the development and deployment of the next-generation power distribution architecture at a global hyperscale cloud provider, driving its transition from product innovation into active capacity delivery across 35+ live data center builds and formal integration into hyperscalers Basis of Design and reference standards. His authorship influenced executive-level approval to accelerate rollout, supporting an estimated five-year net present value of approximately $1 Billion. The initiative enabled deployment of more than 100,000 high-power density racks, increased rack power density by approximately 40%, and improved system efficiency up to 97%, while mitigating execution risk through cross-disciplinary coordination across engineering, vendors and construction teams.
Mr. Viradiya founded and scaled Electrical Off-Site Assembly (OSA) program to address skilled labor shortages, schedule risk, and construction inefficiencies across North America. Under his leadership, the program expanded from a single-project pilot to a multi-region delivery model encompassing both electrical and mechanical systems. He authored the OSA scope of work and design requirements, onboarded seven major contractors and integrators, and oversaw factory validation and commissioning. The program reduced on-site labor requirements by up to 50%, saved approximately 40,000 labor hours per data center project, and positioned hyperscalers to implement OSA on approximately 80% of new builds.
Earlier in his tenure, Mr. Viradiya led the Low-Voltage Busway Flange Standardization initiative, resolving systemic coordination challenges caused by proprietary vendor interfaces. He developed a novel, vendor-agnostic flange standard adopted by industry-leading equipment manufacturers. The solution was deployed across more than 100 hyperscale data center projects and incorporated into hyperscalers global Basis of Design, eliminating change orders and delivering millions of dollars in annual savings while improving supply-chain resilience.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Viradiya worked as an Electrical Engineer at Clark Nexsen, Inc., where he designed low- and medium-voltage electrical systems for large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and public infrastructure projects. He began his professional career at Carollo Engineers, Inc., supporting the design and delivery of municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities. These roles established technical rigor, code compliance expertise, and construction-phase experience that underpin his later leadership of large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure programs.
Mr. Viradiya holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering with distinction from Charotar University, India.
