Since 2020, Ms. McCurry has also held the position of principal consultant at NM Clinical Consulting LLC. From 2019 to 2021, she was the senior clinical trial manager at Apollomics in Foster City, California.

Between 2016 and 2018, Ms. McCurry worked as a clinical trial manager at Gilead Sciences in Foster City, California. There, she was instrumental in overseeing trials that led to regulatory approvals for hepatitis C therapies. Her earlier experience includes serving as a clinical trial associate at Acerta Pharma (A member of the AstraZeneca Group) in Redwood City, California, from 2015 to 2016. Ms. McCurry also held roles as a clinical project manager at Clario (formerly BioClinica) in Newark, California, from 2014 to 2015.

Earlier in her career, Ms. McCurry worked as an independent consultant for Justin Manning Jacobs with Cosmos Consulting - Theoretical Physics in Menlo Park, California, between 2012 and 2015. Her research background is further distinguished by her work as a research associate at Genentech in South San Francisco, California, from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, she was a clinical research scientist at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, from 2011 to 2012.

A defining moment in Ms. McCurry's career occurred during her internship at the Stanford University School of Medicine from 2010 to 2011. Selected as one of only 10 students for a prestigious bridge program at Stanford University, she participated in a fellowship supported by a grant that enabled her to conduct laboratory research under the mentorship of esteemed scientists. This experience profoundly influenced her scientific perspective and career trajectory. She is especially proud of her co-authored publication on Wnt signaling and stem cell regeneration during this period, a contribution that garnered recognition within the scientific community.

Ms. McCurry's academic foundation includes a Master of Biotechnology in professional science from San José State University, completed in 2011. She earned a Bachelor of Science in molecular, cell and developmental biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2008. To further enhance her expertise, she obtained a certificate in clinical trial design and management from UCSC Extension in 2014.

Throughout her career, Ms. McCurry has attributed her achievements to diligence, resilience and a passion for science, qualities instilled by her upbringing and reinforced by the support of her family. Her parents emphasized the importance of education, which has been instrumental in maintaining her focus and success within the demanding field of clinical research. Ms. McCurry's scholarly contributions include several notable publications. She co-authored "A Phase 1 Study of APL-501, an Anti-PD-1 Antibody, in Patients with Recurrent or Advanced Solid Tumors," published online by ASCO in 2020. Her earlier work includes "Endogenous Wnt Signaling in Human Embryonic Stem Cells Generates an Equilibrium of Distinct Lineage-Specified Progenitors," published in Nature Communications in 2012; and "L1CAM Expression Correlates with Metastatic Spread on Endoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Fine Needle Aspiration of Pancreatic Cancers," published in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2012, among others.
