SAINT LOUIS, MO, February 12, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jackie Chun, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Chun has established herself as a leading authority in family law, dedicating three decades to providing high-quality legal assistance to the underprivileged. Prior to establishing her solo practice in 2012, Ms. Chun worked for 16 years at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri providing free legal services to those in need and developed a reputation for tenacity and compassion. The Missouri Order of Protection or Adult Abuse Act that provides immediate, ex parte civil relief for victims of domestic violence was crafted at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and provided the foundational model for similar legislation and procedural forms for the other states.

Since opening her own firm, Ms. Chun has continued her unwavering commitment to providing legal counsel to the disadvantaged. She represents clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, paternity and orders of protections with a specialty in domestic violence. Her advocacy in domestic violence cases extends to both men and women. Although women are more likely to experience domestic violence, according to the CDC, 1 in 7 men will experience physical violence by their intimate partner at some point during their lifetimes. Ms. Chun is committed to working one-on-one with each and every client to come up with a parenting plan that is right for their particular situation and that provides them with the maximum custody time available under the law.

Throughout her career, Ms. Chun has remained deeply engaged in the legal profession and her community as an active member of the American Bar Association and the Missouri Asian Bar Association. Her family law expertise has earned significant recognition, including consecutive SuperLawyers honors as a Top 5 Percent Family Law Lawyer in Missouri and Kansas for the last five years. In 2025, she received the Women's Justice Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly citing her exceptional service. As an expert in family law, Ms. Chun also gives family law seminars, including seminars that specifically focus on custody and paternity issues.

Ms. Chun's most profound achievement lies in witnessing the transformation of her clients, many of whom have gone on to become therapists, domestic violence workers and child protective services employees. The enduring relationships she maintains with former clients, who continue to send holiday cards and photographs decades later, underscore the lasting positive change she has fostered within her community.

Initially planning to pursue tax law after studying tax accounting as an undergraduate, Ms. Chun's career path took a dramatic shift during her first year of law school when she began volunteering at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri in St. Louis and was granted special permission by the dean under Missouri Supreme Court Rule 13 to represent clients while still in law school. Ms. Chun later earned a Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis where she earned national recognition for her service in public interest law. She is also a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), a highly prestigious and premier organization for developing litigation skills, often referred to as the gold standard for training trial lawyers.

Reflecting on her career, Ms. Chun is deeply grateful for the support she received from her community, including those who provided scholarships for law school and welcomed her into their extended families. This gratitude fuels Ms. Chun's dedication to giving back; she requires no advertising as referrals come organically through word of mouth and partnerships with various organizations throughout Missouri.

Born in Honolulu, Ms. Chun leads a modest personal life with two plants as her only dependents, allowing full devotion to her professional mission. She enjoys solving New York Times crosswords, working out and watching true crime shows in her free time. Looking ahead, Ms. Chun intends to continue serving victims of domestic violence and underserved populations through her solo practice and hopes others will carry forward this vital work with equal dedication.
