LOUISVILLE, KY, February 13, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alana A. Towns has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Towns has distinguished herself as a leader in health care administration and currently serves as practice manager II at Norton Healthcare. In this role, she oversees departmental operations from both staffing and provider perspectives. Her responsibilities include managing provider schedules, utilization rates, and productivity standards to ensure alignment with organizational goals; monitoring monthly patient visit volumes to meet performance targets; and contributing to strategies designed to increase patient census. She also supervises workflows and conducts regular competency skills assessments to uphold high standards of care.

Ms. Towns' rapid career advancement within Norton Healthcare reflects her exceptional leadership capabilities. She transitioned into leadership in 2022 as a practice supervisor, a role she held for approximately 18 months before being promoted to practice manager. Within another year, she advanced to her current position as practice manager II. This accelerated progression has been recognized by multiple mentors, who have commended her leadership development and noted the exceptional pace of her advancement compared to peers in similar roles.

Previously, Ms. Towns served as a practice supervisor and practice manager at Norton Healthcare, where she further developed the operational oversight skills that have defined her leadership career. From 2024 to 2025, she continued to refine these competencies as practice manager II. Central to her leadership philosophy is a collaborative approach that prioritizes staff engagement; rather than issuing directives alone, she actively seeks team input and values diverse perspectives. This approach has contributed to strong team cohesion and sustained operational success.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Towns served as a senior activity-based technician from 2008 to 2022, building a strong foundation in patient care and departmental workflow management. During this time, she developed specialized expertise in neurorehabilitation, with a particular focus on movement disorders and Parkinson's disease.

Ms. Towns also gained valuable experience outside of Norton Healthcare. She worked in membership services at the YMCA of Greater Louisville from 2018 to 2020, where she strengthened her customer service and community engagement skills. From 2014 to 2017, she served as a collections specialist at NPAS Parallon Business, further expanding her administrative and business acumen.

Ms. Towns' academic achievements have played a significant role in her professional development. She earned a master's degree in health care administration and management from Capella University in 2026, equipping her with advanced knowledge essential for leadership in complex health care environments. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Western Kentucky University, which she completed in 2007. Her educational journey was shaped by an upbringing that emphasized perseverance and accountability values instilled by her parents that continue to inform her professional resilience and work ethic.

A former athlete and recipient of a softball scholarship, Ms. Towns credits her family's involvement in sports with fostering her early interest in health and athletics, ultimately guiding her toward a career focused on improving patient outcomes and supporting clinical teams. She is an active member of the Norton Healthcare Synergy African American Employee Resource Group, reflecting her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Towns enjoys watching sports, playing recreational softball, spending time with family and friends, and engaging in her community. Looking ahead, she remains focused on continued advancement within Norton Healthcare, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to professional growth and organizational excellence.
