In this capacity, she provides comprehensive oversight of all community outreach services, coordinates grant writing efforts to secure essential financial support, supervises daily operations at the Employment Resource Center and provides fiscal oversight for The ARK Youth Center, St. Sabina's Social Services Center and Stein Learning Garden.

Though her leadership tenure at St. Sabina counts many achievements, Ms. Ramsey is particularly proud of the transformative impact her work has had on many lives on the South Side of Chicago. Over the course of two decades and counting, she has witnessed numerous families regain stability and dignity through the programs she manages, often seeing multiple generations benefit from these initiatives.

One particularly meaningful example involved a young man who entered a program after becoming involved in a gang due to feeling overlooked; under Ms. Ramsey's guidance, he went on to establish a successful trucking company and credited her for being the first person to recognize his potential. These stories exemplify the true impact of her career and underscore her unwavering dedication to fostering positive change within her community.

Prior to joining St. Sabina, Ms. Ramsey gained significant leadership experience as president of Harvest Gatherers from 2003 to 2005, during which she led efforts focused on food security and resource distribution for underserved populations. Her leadership and guidance contributed to expanding outreach initiatives and strengthening partnerships with many local organizations.

From 1997 to 2003, Ms. Ramsey excelled as the senior business manager of Kraft Foods. The culmination of nearly a decade of working with major food manufacturers, she was responsible for overseeing key business operations, strategic planning and troubleshooting complex challenges — skills in which she has achieved expert status.

Ms. Ramsey's foundational experience includes serving as a marketing manager at Sara Lee Foods from 1994 to 1997, during which she developed and executed marketing strategies that enhanced brand visibility and market share. She began her career as an associate brand manager with the manufacturing giant SC Johnson from 1992 to 1994, gaining foundational knowledge of brand management and product development.

Hailing from an equally impressive academic background, Ms. Ramsey earned a Master of Business Administration in business economics and marketing from Columbia Business School in 1990, equipping her with advanced knowledge in economic analysis and strategic marketing that has informed her leadership roles across various sectors. She also obtained a Bachelor of Science in economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1985, which provided a rigorous analytical foundation for her subsequent achievements.

Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, Ms. Ramsey completed a two-week program for community development leaders at the Divinity School Summer Leadership Institute at Harvard University, further enhancing her capacity for ethical leadership and ability to help those in need.

Beyond her professional responsibilities with the Employment Resource Center, Ms. Ramsey has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to civic engagement. She served on the board of St. Sabina Academy from 2003 to 2005 and has volunteered extensively within local community organizations, helping children and families develop socially, emotionally and spiritually. Her outstanding contributions have seen her recognized with multiple honors, including the Advocacy Award from the Illinois Career Development Association as well an accolade from the Thea Bowman Foundation in 2015.

In her personal life, Ms. Ramsey enjoys exploring different restaurants and jazz clubs — a further reflection of her appreciation for culture and community connection.
