Among Mr. Rice's most significant professional achievements is the design of the South Carolina ETV logo, a graphic that remains in use today and has been reproduced an estimated six to seven million times. His contributions to the visual arts are also represented in the permanent collection of the South Carolina State Museum. In addition to his visual art, Mr. Rice is an accomplished children's author. He has written several acclaimed books, including "When You Gave Me You" published in 2021, "At the Stroke of Goodnight" released in 2019, "Ants 'N' Uncles" in 2016, "The Stick" published in 2014, "The Lonely Shadow" released in 2013 and "Mama, Let's Make a Moon" also from 2013. His literary works have garnered numerous accolades: "The Lonely Shadow" received both the IPPY Award for Children's Book of the Year and the Moonbeam Children's Book Award, while "The Stick" earned the Benjamin Franklin Award for its compelling narrative and illustrations. Mr. Rice was also honored with a Kirkus Star for his contributions to children's literature, placing him among contenders for the prestigious Kirkus Prize.

Mr. Rice's educational background includes college coursework at Belmont University in Nashville. Beyond education, he credits his success to an unwavering belief instilled by those around him—the confidence of others in his ability to achieve his goals empowered him to pursue his ambitions without hesitation.
