Since 2019, Mr. Rodriguez has thrived as the assistant director of nursing at a renowned skilled nursing & rehabilitation facility in Harlingen, Texas. In addition to managing a grand team of nurses and nursing assistants, he also oversees the day-to-day care of multiple patients alongside his director in assurance that they receive the best quality care the team can offer with an individualistic approach to patient centered care. He supervises daily operations for the building within his capacity and consistently implements new initiatives to reduce accidents or injuries involving elderly patients. A Certified Dementia Practitioner, Nurse Rodriguez works closely alongside a Board Certified Psychiatric Specialist, reviewing any and all psychotropic medications to assure the appropriate care is being provided to patients with mental health conditions. He continues finding methods in efforts to reduce the use of psychotropic medications in long term care while also maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations (H.H.S.C. & C.M.S.).

Prior to his recruitment at Windsor Atrium, Nurse Rodriguez worked as a nursing assistant and earned a certificate of completion shortly thereafter from Texas State Technical College Vocational Nursing Program, Harlingen. Before his nursing career began, Mr. Rodriguez worked with different school districts as a successful Colorguard Director taking his students to state competitions and winning numerous Gold & Silver Medal State trophies. After receiving his nursing education, he subsequently found success as a charge nurse at Windsor Atrium and continues to serve in a managerial capacity playing a vital role in the success of the facility and the health of their patients. In order to remain up to date with the latest developments in his field, Nurse Rodriguez maintains active affiliations with the Texas Board of Nursing, The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, and The Licensed Vocational Nurses of Texas.

Thanks to his esteemed reputation throughout his local community, Mr. Rodriguez has previously shared his nursing expertise with the Valley Morning Star newspaper on two occasions in an article, "True Calling" and served as the Keynote Speaker for his alma mater at the 2018 TSTC-Vocational Nursing Pinning Ceremony. He is also proud to have been one of the youngest charge nurses to receive promotion to Assistant Director of Nursing within his region almost four years ago. He continues to be highly successful in complying with state regulations having received zero deficiencies three times in a row within his systems of nursing throughout his tenure. Along with his ambitious personality, Nurse Rodriguez attributes a great deal of his success to the influence of his parents, both of whom taught him the importance of overcoming adversity and obtaining an education. He would also like to thank his mentors, Mrs. Sulema Castillo RN-D.O.N. for the endless opportunities, Mrs. Hinojosa-Vassberg, RN-C, for teaching the importance of "why" in nursing and to Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Valorie Garza, RN, for teaching him that, "In this life, anything worth having, is worth working for." In the coming years, he intends to continue his pursuit of a Master's Degree in Nursing Administrations in hopes of one day becoming a nursing administrator of a hospital or as he likes to say, "Wherever God takes me.
