Dr. Williams has enjoyed a career spanning more than 30 years, marked by her expertise in compliance and teaching. Most recently, she served as a principal business consultant at Affirmity from 2018 to 2025, managing more than 40 contractors and subcontractors. In this capacity, Dr. Williams was responsible for preparing plans and ensuring that clients met their obligations as federal contractors or subcontractors. Her role also included conducting project-planning workshops, analyzing applicant-tracking data, and conducting case studies and regression analyses. Dr. Williams's leadership at Affirmity was instrumental in helping organizations navigate complex regulatory environments.
From 2007 to 2018, Dr. Williams served as a senior implementation consultant at Affirmity, where she honed her compliance consulting skills. Notably, the organization provides solutions for affirmative action, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, pay equity, diversity and inclusion, and workforce analytics.
Beyond her consulting work, Dr. Williams served as an associate professor and lead professor in the business development department at Jarvis Christian College (now Jarvis Christian University) from 2017 to 2020. During her tenure, she inspired students to recognize their talents and creativity, often helping them discover abilities they had not previously realized. Dr. Williams took pride in fostering an environment where students could envision and achieve their goals, making a lasting impact on their personal and professional growth.
Dr. Williams's earlier academic roles included serving as an adjunct professor in the division of business and finance at Strayer University in 2013, as an assistant professor in the division of business and accounting at Miles College from 2011 to 2012, and as an adjunct professor in the division of business and economic development at LeMoyne-Owen College in 2010. Each of these positions allowed Dr. Williams to share her knowledge with both traditional students and adult learners pursuing higher education. She first taught at Delgado Community College as an adjunct instructor in the division of business and technology between 1996 and 2005.
Dr. Williams began her consulting career as an implementation consultant at PeopleClick Inc. in New Orleans from 1999 to 2007. Her early professional experience included working as a buyer for services and supplies at Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans for two years, starting in 1997, and as a materiel management manager at Cox Cable Communications in New Orleans between 1992 and 1994.
Highly educated, Dr. Williams earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern University in 1984, a Master of Science in management from Troy University in 1996 and a Doctor of Business Administration in management from Argosy University in 2010. She also holds the designation of senior certified affirmative action professional from the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity.
Throughout her career, Dr. Williams has been an active member of several industry-related organizations. She has been affiliated with AILG, the National Industry Liaison Group in Atlanta, and the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity. These memberships have provided her with opportunities for professional development and networking within her field.
Dr. Williams's civic involvement included serving on the board of directors and as a mentor for Each One Save One from 2012 to 2014, and then as the Jack Fielkow scholarship committee coordinator for Each One Save One between 2013 and 2015. She has also contributed thought leadership through public speaking engagements, such as presenting on business plans and strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis at "Rise to Millions: Purpose Power Profits by Lori Granito, Business Strategy Coach, in Paris in 2024. As such, Dr. Williams introduced innovative approaches for individuals facing employment challenges arising from changes in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives by applying personal SWOT analysis techniques.
Attributing her success to determination and spiritual beliefs, Dr. Williams's legacy is defined by the positive impact she has made on those around her. Throughout her career, she has emphasized self-respect, resilience and belief in one's potential.
