As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Chase's professional journey is distinguished by her visionary leadership, unwavering dedication and a profound commitment to strengthening individuals and families through psychology, education and community service. Devoted to family and work, she embodies both strategic excellence and compassionate service – a rare blend that has defined her decades-long career.

As the founder and owner of Persona Psychotherapy Center PLLC, Dr. Chase provides psychotherapy and counseling services to families and couples while leading organizational operations with clarity and purpose. She also trains and supervises staff, conducts lectures and educational programs, develops curricula for children and adolescents, and publishes articles and educational materials in psychology. Her expertise in family and couples counseling, as well as child psychology, has established her as a respected authority and motivational leader within her field.

Prior to establishing her practice in the United States, Dr. Chase served as a licensed clinical psychologist in Brazil for over 30 years. Her work extended beyond private practice into national and international humanitarian initiatives. She worked with the United Nations by initiating projects supporting street children, partnered with the Brazilian government on child education initiatives, and trained foster parents and counselors specializing in parenting support. Her heart for underserved populations led her to establish Angeleone to support disadvantaged youth, particularly in health and education needs. She also volunteered in orphanages in Brazil and India and continues to support charitable initiatives both locally and internationally.

Dr. Chase demonstrates exceptional leadership capability across diverse roles. She has served for over a decade as a law office manager, refining her executive, organizational and operational expertise. As a case manager at CARE in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, she provided critical support to individuals through complex social systems with empathy and determination. She has also offered lecturing, consulting, and restructuring services in organizational psychology for hospitals, companies and organizations with hundreds of people.

Likewise, as a research coordinator at the graduate school of Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes, Dr. Chase advanced interdisciplinary scholarship in psychology for graduate programs in psychology, law and medicine. She also taught advanced psychology to law students and nursing students. Earlier in her career, she was a principal and teacher in Brazil.

Remarkably, Dr. Chase's professional journey began at age 15, when she became a teacher after passing rigorous psychological evaluations deeming her mature and competent for the role – an early testament to her strength, resilience and intellectual capacity. She is especially grateful for her first two bosses during that time, Ubiraci da Rocha Gabriel and Ione do Carmo Chuery dos Santos, for believing in her competence and encouraging her to start her career as a youth. Dr. Chase also acknowledges and thanks Dr. Cacilda Soares da Costa and Sydney Florencio da Costa for their support at that time.

An active member of the American Psychological Association, Dr. Chase is recognized for her mentorship and inspirational influence. Many of her former preschool students have become accomplished professionals, physicians, attorneys and leaders across the United States and abroad. A particularly meaningful recognition occurred when more than 25 former students and mentees sent heartfelt video tributes expressing gratitude for the formative role she played in their lives, a moment she regards among her most significant.

Dr. Chase's academic background is extensive and distinguished. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy, a Doctor of Ministry and a Master of Arts in education. She also earned a Master of Arts in counseling with highest distinction from a United States institution. Her credentials also include licensure as a mental health counselor. These academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping her integrative approach to psychology and counseling, blending clinical experience, educational innovation, and knowledge to empower individuals and families.

Dr. Chase's success is rooted in the profound resilience she developed during her upbringing in Brazil. Raised by her mother under severe hardship, including periods without adequate food or shelter, Dr. Chase developed an incredible understanding of those facing hardship. She learned to transform adversity into purpose. These formative experiences cultivated deep empathy, inspired her lifelong dedication to helping others, and shaped her belief that suffering can be transformed into purpose through service.

Dr. Chase's civic engagement is equally notable and further reflects her servant-leader philosophy. She has volunteered with Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center, the Department of Psychology at Wake Forest University, Brenner Hospital at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center, and the Children's Hospital. She has also given significant help to Hope Heals. Through these roles, she has contributed to advancing mental health care and supported children and families navigating medical and emotional challenges within diverse communities.

Outside her professional endeavors, Dr. Chase enjoys singing, interior designing and decorating, reading, writing, lecturing and traveling – pursuits that reflect her lifelong love of learning and cultural engagement. She is devoted to her family, including one daughter and a grandson, who remain a source of enduring joy.

Looking ahead, Dr. Chase intends to expand her nonprofit initiatives to address the growing need for human connection among youth. She plans to develop lectures, educational resources, and family-centered programs that strengthen relationships and reinforce the essential roles of both father and mother figures in child development. Drawing on insights from Dr. Daniel Amen, a psychiatrist specializing in brain injury cases, she also aims to promote prevention strategies for brain health, integrating neuroscience with relational and family-based approaches.

Dr. Chase's legacy is defined by resilience, generosity and compassion. As a visionary servant leader, she continues to inspire and empower others through an unwavering commitment to education, mentorship, and advocacy in the fields of psychology and mental health counseling.
