From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Megbolugbe was a program director at Ascendant Program Services, a company that provides expert management solutions to support client programs worldwide. His earlier tenure included his role as the vice president at Fannie Mae. This pivotal chapter in his professional journey, which spanned from 1990 to 2002, allowed Dr. Megbolugbe to facilitate the scaling and mainstreaming of reverse mortgage markets, pioneer the use of geographic information technology in the real estate and mortgage industry, a groundbreaking approach that has since become standard practice across the sector. Additionally, he led the introduction of mortgage scoring to mortgage markets, a transformative innovation now widely adopted throughout the industry.

Dr. Megbolugbe was a practice leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers between 1996 and 1999. There, he worked with multidisciplinary teams and diverse clients, gaining invaluable experience in advisory services that would shape his future endeavors. Dr. Megbolugbe initially joined Fannie Mae in 1992 as a senior director of research and development, where he directed research and data program initiatives that informed policy decisions and advanced the organization's mission until 1996.

Dr. Megbolugbe's academic career is equally notable. He was a real estate professor and director at Johns Hopkins University from 2003 to 2008, and then a business and real estate professor on campus until 2013. In these roles, he mentored students and contributed to curriculum development in real estate studies. Earlier, Dr. Megbolugbe was an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania between 2000 and 2003, an assistant professor at The American University from 1990 to 1991, an assistant professor of urban and regional planning at Florida State University between 1985 and 1988, and an assistant professor of urban and regional planning at the University of Ibadan from 1983 to 1985.

Dr. Megbolugbe earned a Bachelor of Science in geography and economics from the University of Ibadan, a Master of Science in urban and regional planning from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, and both a Master of Arts in city and regional planning and a Doctor of Philosophy in urban and real estate economics and finance from the University of Pennsylvania.

Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Megbolugbe has been an active member of several esteemed organizations. He is recognized as a fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the American Real Estate Society. He is also affiliated with the Lambda Alpha International Land Economics Society, the Nigerian Economics Society, the Society of International Development, the Society of Environmental Management and Planning, and, among others, the African Finance and Economics Association.

Beyond his professional roles, Dr. Megbolugbe has contributed significantly to scholarly discourse. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Real Estate Research, Real State Economics and Journal of Housing Research and has been featured in numerous publications, including Economic and Social Measurement, Journal of Regional Science, Real Estate Economics, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Research and Housing Economics.

Looking ahead, Dr. Megbolugbe remains committed to service through GIVA International LLC. He also intends to complete a set of memoirs chronicling his experiences and consolidate them into an autobiography, further contributing insights gained over decades of leadership in academia, business consulting and industry innovation.
