Earlier in her career, Ms. Timson gained valuable experience through diverse internships that broadened her understanding of business operations. She interned in the accounting department of an insurance agency, where she developed foundational skills in financial management. Additional internships at a sandwich shop and a paint manufacturer provided her with practical insights into customer service and product knowledge — skills that have been pivotal in her work at Advantage Tennis.

Ms. Timson's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in management and marketing from Endicott College, which has equipped her with many of the skills essential for effective organizational leadership and market strategies. Recognizing the challenges of recruiting reliable employees from younger generations, she frequently returns to her alma mater, St. Johnsbury Academy, to collaborate with coaches and identify dedicated young talent for Advantage Tennis.

Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Ms. Timson credits much of her success to the unwavering support of her husband Shawn, who sold his own business to help manage the workload that was previously handled by her father. Her father remains an invaluable consultant to the company, offering guidance and expertise from his nearby residence.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Timson is deeply committed to helping others through civic engagement. Following a personal commitment made during a pivotal moment in her life, she became involved with an initiative supporting troops overseas. This effort evolved into VT S.U.P.P.O.R.T.S. — which stands for Strangers United Preparing Packages, Openly Remembering Troops Serving — a nonprofit organization where she serves as president of the board. Each year on the first Saturday of December, VT SUPPORTS organizes a large-scale event to assemble care packages for deployed service members serving during Christmas, distributing OVER 650 packages in under three hours annually.

Happily married and a proud pet parent of two dogs, Ms. Timson enjoys spending time with her husband, driving their recreational vehicle in Florida and collecting shells along the coast. A former competitive dancer for much of her life, she continues to bring discipline and passion to everything she does.
