Dr. Johnson's responsibilities also include educating individuals through social media, engaging directly with customers at the store, providing support with nutrition based on the individual's disease states if present and building relationships with local businesses. Her impact quickly became apparent when Elixir Squeeze & Brew was recognized as the Best Juice Shop in South Holland by BusinessRate in 2025.

Concurrently to her entrepreneurial role, Dr. Johnson serves as a private pharmacist, leveraging five years of professional experience, as well as, her board certification in ambulatory care to provide high-quality services to patients managing chronic conditions outside of traditional hospital settings.

Prior to assuming co-ownership role at Elixir Squeeze & Brew, Dr. Johnson excelled as a pharmacist at Advocate Christ Medical Center within Advocate Aurora Health in Chicago for three years. During her tenure there, she was honored as Preceptor of the Year in 2024 for her outstanding dedication to mentoring pharmacy students and new practitioners.

Dr. Johnson began her career with a residency program at the Hines VA Veterans Hospital in Illinois, where she gained foundational experience in clinical pharmacy practice and patient-centered care. Determined to continue her professional development as both a business co-owner and pharmacist, she maintains active membership in the South Holland Business Association as well as the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Dr. Johnson earned a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2021 graduating cum laude after previously graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 2007. Ranked among the top three graduates of her class, she also served as president of both her class and two additional organizations during pharmacy school — a period marked by personal resilience as she balanced academic excellence with significant family challenges.

To augment her scholastic knowledge, Dr. Johnson is also board-certified in ambulatory care pharmacy (BCACP), underscoring her expertise in managing complex medication regimens for patients outside of traditional hospital environments. As a result, she has plans in the near future of opening her own local primary care clinic. Reflecting on her storied journey thus far, she attributes much of her success to the influence of her parents, particularly her mother, whose strength and guidance have been a driving force throughout her life.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Johnson is also devoted to helping those in need through civic activities. She serves on the board of Project P.L.E.A.S.E. and Eternal Life Ministries, contributing to initiatives that support community health and well-being. In recognition of her impact on the local business scene and the wider wellness culture, she was featured in South Holland Living by the Village of South Holland in 2025.

On a personal level, Dr. Johnson enjoys playing tennis during her spare time and looks forward to marriage and starting a family in the coming years. Looking toward the future, she aspires to become a certified diabetes educator and expand her personal clinic's reach throughout the Chicago area by establishing it as a recognized provider of diabetes care services. She envisions further growth for Elixir Squeeze & Brew, including the introduction of a drive-through service, while continuing to advance health outcomes for individuals and families throughout her community.
