Mr. Birch has established a distinguished career in athlete representation and collegiate recruiting, most notably as founder and president of Birch Prospects since 2012. Under his leadership, Birch Prospects evolved from a modest operation in San Diego, California, into a nationally recognized brand. Initially working with athletes from Southern California and Denver, Mr. Birch expanded his reach to represent players from approximately 25 states and facilitated placements in collegiate programs across 41 states. His grassroots approach began with no clients or significant collegiate connections, yet he has successfully placed more than 1,200 athletes in collegiate and professional baseball programs. Among these achievements are the emergence of 21 collegiate All-Americans and 37 players drafted into Major League Baseball. Notably, while only 1% of high school baseball players typically make it onto a Division 1 roster, Mr. Birch has achieved an 18% placement rate for the athletes he represents.

In addition to his work at Birch Prospects, Mr. Birch served as senior recruitment advisor for STUDENTathleteWorld in San Diego County from 2012 to 2016. In this capacity, he provided guidance to student athletes seeking collegiate opportunities and was recognized as a five-time recipient of the National Advisor of the Year award.

Prior to his involvement in athlete recruitment, Mr. Birch held the position of marketing associate at CBS Television in 2007, where he contributed to promotional campaigns and media outreach initiatives.

His earlier career includes international experience as a professional baseball player and coach for the Mortsel Stars in Antwerp, Belgium, in 2005. While coaching the professional team and assisting Belgium's national junior team, Mr. Birch identified a need among young Belgian players aspiring to play baseball in the United States. He began capturing video footage of these athletes and promoting them to American colleges, successfully helping two Belgian national team players secure collegiate opportunities. This experience inspired him to combine his background as a professional baseball player with his marketing expertise to launch Birch Prospects.

From 1987 to 2004, Mr. Birch built a successful tenure at AT&T Advertising Solutions as national sales trainer, account executive and regional sales manager. His performance earned him multiple Presidential Circle of Excellence awards for both sales training and management.

Mr. Birch's athletic career began as a professional baseball player with the Milford METS in Milford, Connecticut, in 1986.

Throughout his career, Mr. Birch has demonstrated exceptional skill in networking and relationship-building with college coaches, a level of expertise instrumental in his ability to place student-athletes nationwide. He is also an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Mr. Birch's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, earned in 1986; an Associate of Arts degree in general studies from Central Arizona College in Coolidge, Arizona, in 1983; and a diploma from Pueblo South High School in Pueblo, Colorado in 1981. His educational background equipped him with communication skills essential for marketing student-athletes and for building relationships within the collegiate sports community.

Mr. Birch's commitment extends beyond professional achievements; he is dedicated to supporting families by making college sports and education accessible to student-athletes who might not otherwise have such opportunities. He honors his late father's legacy by upholding integrity and diligence throughout his career.

Born in Pueblo, Colorado, Mr. Birch is devoted to his family life as a father of five children. He actively supports his daughter's activities by attending soccer matches and dance events. His wife is an accomplished ultrasound technician with over twenty-five years of experience serving hospitals and emergency response teams, a role Mr. Birch deeply respects.

Looking ahead, Mr. Birch intends to continue assisting families and student athletes as they pursue higher education through athletics. He plans to remain engaged within collegiate baseball circles until he fulfills his personal objective of supporting each of his children through their educational journeys.
