Ms. Dice's academic background has played a pivotal role in shaping her approach to teaching and supporting students. She earned a master's degree in the art of teaching and elementary literacy from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan, which provided advanced strategies for literacy instruction and classroom management. Before this achievement, she completed a bachelor's degree in elementary education 1-8 at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. These academic credentials have been instrumental in equipping Ms. Dice with the knowledge and skills to address the varied needs of her students effectively.

In addition to her degrees, Ms. Dice holds a special education license (kindergarten through grade 12), which has enabled her to work with a broad spectrum of learners across multiple grade levels. Ms. Dice's passion for helping children succeed, both academically and personally, inspired her to enter the profession. Born and raised in Mount Vernon, Ohio, Ms. Dice remains closely connected to her community. Although she is not married and does not have biological children, she considers many of her former students part of her extended family and maintains enduring bonds with them. One especially significant relationship is with a former student whose child affectionately calls her "Mimi," making Ms. Dice a cherished grandmother figure within that family. Deeply devoted to her own family members as well, she finds joy in mentoring, supporting and actively participating in the lives of those around her, both within her family circle and throughout the broader community.

Looking ahead, Ms. Dice intends to continue teaching as long as her health allows, with aspirations of reaching 45 years of service in education. She also aims to pay off her home and looks forward to traveling after retirement, while considering consulting opportunities in education.
