MIAMI, FL, March 12, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Connie Goodman-Milone is a distinguished biographee of Marquis Who's Who. She was recently spotlighted in New York City's Times Square on a 22-story screen that is passed by an estimated 1.5 million people daily. Possessing more than 25 years of excellence in writing, philanthropy and advocacy, Ms. Goodman-Milone has been celebrated for her literary prowess in the South Florida writing community, having lent her expertise to a myriad of works since the inception of her career. Having built a prolific career in Miami as a freelance writer, she serves as co-author of the "Bereavement Poetry Project" and is a contributor to the "Cadence" anthologies by the Florida State Poets Association and Haiku Society of America Members' Anthologies. In addition, she is the Community Relations Director and has served as president of the South Florida Writers Association. She has a column in the South Florida Writers Association "Author's Voice" and serves as an editor for the newsletter.

Over the course of her lengthy career, Ms. Goodman-Milone has contributed letters to the editor to such prominent publications as the Miami Herald, the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Orlando Sentinel, and San Antonio Express News. Furthermore, she has penned a number of poems in many works, including the publications "Sea of Tranquility: A Literary Anthology," "Miami Poets Soiree 2023," "National Endowment for the Arts Big Read Gratitude Notes," "Of Poets and Poetry," "Dark Wood," "Healthy Stories," "Poets Corner," "Vitas Vital Signs," and "The Grief Observer," among others. She was featured in a Member Spotlight in the Florida State Poets Association Magazine, "Of Poets and Poetry."

At the beginning of her career, she served as an editorial assistant at Chelsea House Publishers LLC from 1986 to 1987. Following this appointment, she was a freelance writer in Philadelphia and New York between 1987 and 1996. Subsequently, Ms. Goodman-Milone served with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as a social work intern at the VA Medical Center and with HealthSouth as a case manager in skilled nursing. For many years, she has served as a hospice volunteer with VITAS Healthcare in Miami.

Alongside her written work, Ms. Goodman-Milone is well-regarded for her contributions to various radio shows, such as Close-Up Radio, where she was featured as an accomplished writer and discussed such topics as the healing power of poetry and the importance of philanthropic deeds and charity. She has also served as chair and director of the Junior Bowl Creative Writing Contest and maintains a steadfast commitment to charitable causes as a contributor to Doctors Without Borders, the World Jewish Congress, United Service Organizations, USA for UNHCR, the National Wildlife Federation, Defenders of Wildlife, Sandy Hook Promise, the American Red Cross, and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation, among many others. She is a dedicated supporter and fundraiser for Susan G. Komen.

Ms. Goodman-Milone holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The George Washington University and a Master of Social Work from Barry University. Maintaining membership with the National Association of Social Workers, she is active in the Miami Chapter of the Florida State Poets Association and is a member of the Academy of American Poets, Democratic National Committee, the National Writers Union and the National Association for Poetry Therapy.

Testifying to her resounding success over the years, Ms. Goodman-Milone has accepted numerous accolades. Notably, VITAS Healthcare bestowed upon her its Bereavement Volunteer of the Year Award, the 11-Year Length of Service Award and the VITAS Best Award. She also earned a Special Merit Award from the South Florida Writers Association and the Exemplary Medal from the Miami-Dade County School Board, among other poetry prizes and awards. In the coming years, Ms. Goodman-Milone endeavors to witness the continued success of her career. Ultimately, she aims to continue helping charitable organizations and impact the world through philanthropic efforts.
