From 2022 to 2024, Mr. Iglesias served as chief executive officer of Bespoken Spirits Inc., a San Francisco-based technology company pioneering rapid-aging technology for whiskey and bourbon. During his tenure, he oversaw the relocation of operations to Lexington, Kentucky, where he built a distillery from inception, raised approximately $21 million in capital and led the commercialization of proprietary technology capable of replicating years of barrel aging within days.
Mr. Iglesias' innovation garnered multiple industry awards and positioned Bespoken Spirits at the forefront of spirits technology. He also orchestrated high-profile artist collaborations, producing Hell House Whiskey with Lynyrd Skynyrd and Uncle Chicken Bourbon with Whiskey Myers, and hosted a grand opening event attended by thousands.
Concurrently from 2016 to 2024, Mr. Iglesias held the role of chief operating officer at Royal Dutch Distillers, the United States arm of De Kuyper. Reporting directly to the global chief executive officer in Holland, Netherlands, he led the United States organization for more than seven years. His leadership was instrumental in scaling ChocoVine from approximately 50,000 to over 100,000 cases and expanding premium brands such as Cherry Heering and Mandarine Napoléon. He also established a robust national sales and marketing infrastructure that drove significant brand growth.
Between 2013 and 2016, Mr. Iglesias was managing director for Disaronno in the United States East Region. In this capacity, he played a central role in transitioning Disaronno from agency representation under Bacardi USA to an independent import model. He developed and executed comprehensive operating plans, built a team of nearly 50 professionals and established a dedicated distribution network for the iconic brand.
From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Iglesias served as managing director for ILLVA SARONNO HOLDING S.p.A., overseeing operations in the United States East Region. His responsibilities included driving regional growth strategies and strengthening brand presence across key markets.
Earlier in his career, from 2008 to 2010, Mr. Iglesias was sales manager at Angostura Limited where he contributed to expanding market share for renowned spirits brands through targeted sales initiatives. His professional journey began at FLOR DE CAÑA as state manager from 2004 to 2008, following his experience as a sales consultant for Coastal Wine and Spirits. Among his accolades is recognition as Top Dog and Top Salesman for 11 consecutive months at NDC during either 1999 or 2000, a testament to his consistent performance and drive for excellence.
Mr. Iglesias earned a Bachelor of Arts in sports administration from St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens in 1995. His academic background provided him with foundational skills in management and organizational leadership that have been integral throughout his career. Drawing on lessons learned as an athlete during his formative years, where perseverance and discipline were paramount, he developed a steadfast work ethic that has shaped his approach to business challenges and opportunities alike.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Iglesias is actively involved in civic organizations and community initiatives.
