SAN DIEGO, CA, March 16, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rice Enright, Founder and CEO, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Enright has established a distinguished career in music education, operations and project management, earning recognition for his expertise and leadership. As founder and chief executive officer of Apt 4 Music in San Diego since 2017, he has overseen the organization's growth from a modest home-based business into a thriving enterprise that serves between 400 and 500 students each semester and employs 12 staff members. Since its inception, Apt 4 Music has provided instruction to more than 3,000 to 4,000 students. Leading from the front, Mr. Enright manages payroll and financial operations, organizes and systematizes processes, hires and supervises employees, builds team cohesion and leads the organization's mission-driven vision for music education and community service. He is also responsible for advocating for arts education at fundraisers, concerts, raffles and giveaways.

Apt 4 Music operates as both a limited liability company and a nonprofit foundation, enabling Mr. Enright to provide music instruction to hundreds of students annually while funding full music programs in Title One schools, such as Cabrillo Elementary. There, he oversees the Music Maker Club, which teaches approximately 140 to 150 students in kindergarten through fourth grade to create their own music. The organization's sustainable model blends private lessons with community outreach, nonprofit scholarships and performance opportunities for young musicians. Mr. Enright credits much of this success to his partnership with DJ Villegas, whose background in education and curriculum complements Mr. Enright's operational strengths. Together, they have built an environment that not only teaches children to play instruments but also guides them toward professional musicianship and self-worth.

In addition to his work at Apt 4 Music, Mr. Enright has served as owner and engineer at Bassik Studios in San Diego since 2017, where he continues to produce music and support local artists. His career as a professional bassist, producer, educator and technician under Rice Music Entertainment began in 1992 and remains ongoing. Over the years, he has performed with numerous bands and artists—including a decade-long collaboration with Zache Goode of Smash Mouth—and has developed a reputation for versatility across genres like jazz and rock.

In the midst of his ongoing roles, Mr. Enright was director of logistics for Point Loma Summer Concerts in San Diego from 2021 to 2023, where he coordinated event operations for large-scale community performances. He also contributed as an educator at the Recreational Music Center from 2019 to 2020, sharing his passion for music with students of all ages.

Prior to his focus on music education, Mr. Enright held the role of operations manager at TriLink BioTechnologies, part of Maravai LifeSciences in San Diego, from 2010 to 2017. Throughout his career, he has maintained active membership in Musicians Union Local 325. He further collaborates with organizations like Music for Life and Blues for the Soul to provide year-long guitar lessons for veterans and military families.

Mr. Enright's academic achievements include an Associate of Arts in Music from San Diego Mesa College, earned in 2020, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration and Management from San Diego Mesa College, completed in 2019. He also holds certification in child abuse and neglect mandated reporter training from Simple Learning Systems.

Mr. Enright's journey into music began at age fourteen after witnessing a peer play guitar—a moment that inspired him to pursue the instrument himself before ultimately gravitating toward bass guitar for its groove and adaptability across musical styles. As a young father at twenty-one years old, he transitioned from casual playing to professional gigs out of necessity to support his family. Over time, he built his credentials through consistent practice, professionalism and networking within the industry.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Enright attributes his accomplishments to passion for music, hard work and dedication. He values versatility as a strength that enables him to unite specialists around shared goals. His contributions have been recognized with awards, including Best Indie/Alternative Band at the San Diego Music Awards in 2018 and Best Hard Rock or Metal Band at the same awards in 2001. Through Apt 4 Music, he has spearheaded projects expanding access to musical arts education and support programs throughout the region.

Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, Mr. Enright is a dedicated single father who raised two children—a son who became a finish carpenter and a daughter pursuing a nursing degree in Massachusetts—while building his career as a musician and educator in San Diego. He enjoys playing bass guitar, performing with bands, teaching music and exploring upright jazz bass in his free time.

Looking ahead, Mr. Enright envisions expanding Apt 4 Music nationwide following the YMCA model by establishing trusted family-oriented music schools and community arts centers wherever there is need. His goal is for Apt 4 Music to become as recognized as organizations like the YMCA or Boys & Girls Club, but focused on the arts—supporting young artists from childhood through college while creating sustainable systems that ensure continued access to arts education regardless of budgetary challenges.

Mr. Enright draws inspiration from legendary guitarist Les Paul's lifelong commitment to learning—a philosophy he applies daily by seeking new knowledge within music—and values collaborative partnerships that foster opportunity for both students and fellow musicians alike.
