Between 2017 and 2020, Mrs. Winters was a project manager at Norwich University. She managed academic projects and coordinated cross-departmental efforts, launching a SharePoint site for document storage; managing $2.5 million and $4.3 million budgets with bi-weekly reporting and data consolidation; and providing weekly updates on resources for military and veteran families facing employment challenges. Leveraging her technical background and leadership skills, she drove institutional progress in support of the university's 2035 vision.

In 2013, Mrs. Winters served as co-owner and chief operating officer at HPSP Rentals, LLC. She oversaw business operations and strategic planning, applying skills and insights gained from supporting military spouse entrepreneurs through the Military Spouse Business Association.

A defining chapter in Mrs. Winters' career was her decade-long service as director of operations for the Military Spouse Business Association and Military Spouse Business Academy from 2008 to 2019. Leading a six-member volunteer board and coordinating the efforts of 40 additional volunteers, she guided the organization in providing resources and services to nearly 1,800 members. Under her direction, the association awarded grants totaling $3,500 to support member businesses. Her most notable achievement during this period was her involvement in the passage of the Military Spouse Residency Relief Act. Through this nonprofit coalition, Mrs. Winters addressed complex residency challenges faced by military spouses, issues that often created complications with taxes and voting due to frequent relocations. She provided testimony to the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, sharing personal experiences with residency issues and advocating for legislative change. This accomplishment stands out as a testament to her dedication to improving the lives of military families.

Earlier in her career, Mrs. Winters owned All In One Desktops, where she managed business operations and developed solutions for clients' technology needs.

Throughout her professional journey, Mrs. Winters has earned recognition for her contributions. She received a Certificate of Achievement from the Department of the Army in 2022, a Presidential Certificate of Merit from the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society in 2017, and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Dean of Students at Naval Postgraduate School in 2011. Mrs. Winters has led several notable projects, including serving as project lead for an interview with Chris Pape of Macho Spouse in 2012, as director of operations of the Military Spouse Business Association, during which she discussed the organization's resources and support for military spouse entrepreneurs. That same year, she was a panelist on 'Certification and Licensing: Unique Challenges of Military Spouses' at The American Legion's National Credentialing Summit, where she discussed the Military Spouses Residency Relief Act and the association's efforts to promote licensure portability, provide advocacy resources, and encourage members to support state-level initiatives.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Winters enjoys walking, journaling, crocheting, and knitting in her free time.
